clingman71 (238), Centerville, Ohio, USA Jun 6, 2008 MMMMMMMM. Pours a clear orangish color with a nice head. Huge hop aroma! This is not for the faint of heart. It is not balanced at all. It is a HOP BOMB!!!!! Sometimes however, bombed is just what you need! This is a chewy hoppy resiny beautiful example of what deranged hopheads can come up with when brewing IPAs! EXCELLENT!!!!!! hophessel (6), Reno, Nevada, USA does not count Jun 3, 2008 Example of a west coast Imperial IPA. Lipsmackin chewy hopbomb but slightly out of balence with the hops. A must for the true hophead. DragonsHead (137), Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 2, 2008 wonderful!!! I really wanted a solid beer to stack my 100th. Great hop flavor with a good malty balance. This is one of my all time favorites. gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 2, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Bottle, courtesy illidurit. Transparent copper pour, giant foamy white head, and dry, cotton-like lacing. Big piney hops in the nose, grapefruit and some vanilla cake frosting. Flavor has a lot of citrus and floral notes, followed by typical pine. Malty finish, fairly muted though. Drinkable and interesting, not terribly balanced, though. MaltOMeal (642), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Jun 1, 2008 bomber courtesy of .... Pours a cloudy, faded orange/brown with off-white head. Smell is citrus and peach. Taste is harsh hops and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is of massive hops - harsh and bitter. Wow, no balance here! Potent stuff!! badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA May 30, 2008 Thanks to STLWill for bringing this one to have along with their "regular" IIPA. Copper color with no head. Monster orange, citrus peel, bitter aroma. A massive smack of pine hop flavor. Big caramel malt base. Finishes with fresh orange and citrus. Now that’s a west coast IIPA! BMan1113VR (2752), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA May 30, 2008 Pours with a small, creamy, off-white head covering a cloudy, deep orange body. Aroma of spruce, grapefruit, rotting fruit, and brown sugar. Taste is immediately bitter malts followed by a bild up of hop bitterness that, over the long duration, finishes clean. Slight alcohol warming noticable immediately. Creamy mouthfeel with lively bubbles. I would like to see a bit more balance in the form of some added malty sweetness. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 27, 2008 On tap. pours a hazy copper with small white head. Aromas of piney hops and floral hops. first sip is a hop punch in the mouth. very sticky piney taste, with notes of citrus and caramel. Awsome brew for any hop head.
