well, i had this while eating some saucy, spicy-ass sushi and let me tell you... this beer went awesome with it; yes, this beer went awesome with it... this is clearly an example of the IIPA style... a great, strong and hoppy ale to cut some spicy sushi with :o) basically, if i had this on a palate that was fresh, on an empty and hungry stomach, etc., then this would have been an assault rather than a compliment.

Pours a nice copper color with a nice egg shell colored head. Sticky head left nice lacing. Aroma seems tropical...sweet with citrus and pineapple...hits you immediately upon opening the bottle. Very aggressive hops in the flavor. Very resinous with pronounced alcohol in the finish. Nice and bitter the way a DIPA should be. There is nothing timid about this beer. Hop Heads rejoice!!

Pours copper-orange with a one-finger white head. Bready, grapefruity nose with that touch of cattiness that always seems to come with Simcoes. Honey sweetness rounds out the nose. The flavor is bitter. Not "great hop flavor" and bitter, but just bitter. It’s hard to taste anything at all. Bitter and hot and unbalanced.. I consider myself a hophead, but this is overdone.

22oz. pours hazy dark gold with a nice off white head. aroma is big hop of grapefruit and pine. Mouthful is huge hops.... and more huge hops... has a nice smooth carbonation to facilitate the hoppy assault on the taste buds. the finnish is extra bitter. A great hop assault... but not very balanced.

this is the best double ipa i have ever tasted. everything about this screams hops. essentially liquid hops with a hint of alcohol. it has ruined my palate, and i have yet to find a ipa to come close.

Glows orange in the glass with a fine off-white head that gives some lacing to the glass. Hop aromas are straightforward and clean. The hop flavors are rich and bright, with a lemony bite. The alcohol heightens the sharpness of the hops, but contributes a grainy dryness on the back end. Great bittering dry finish. Theonly drawback here is the sheer volume of alcohol, which, even though you can’t taste it, is very high.

8th DIPA Fest, Hayward. Screamer - wow, this is hoppy. Nice bitterness, and very very aggressive. Made a change to the somewhat sweeter DIPAs here today. Somewhat hazy, with some tangerine notes to complement. I liked this, but it was a shade rough and ready, no bad thing, for it to really draw winners.

This is the first time seeing this beer. It is outstanding! One of my favorites I’ve had. The ’Triple Hoppy’ on the label definitely drew me to it. It smacks you in the nose and mouth with hops! Definitely only for hop heads!
