Big hop profile, but great balance with an equal malt presence. Medium mouthfell with bitter finish. Good beer. Sammy (3979), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Picked up recently at Olivers in Albany. Hop bomb of delivery of Cascade, Simcoe, Columbus, Ahtanum, and Chinook Hops. Some malting. This is a feeding of hops. The appearance with a golden colour and white head, the aroma-hops. Just too much bitterness one-dimensional. Have enjoyed more balance in this style.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Pours burned orange with the most rediculous amount of sediment floating around. Big head that dies and laces. Smells of huge hops, pine, citrus, malt, yeast?, something funky. Lots of flavors hit the palate. Yeast, hops, fruit and hops but not the blistering hops I hoped for and expected. The alcohol is not evident at all. Mild carbonation and full in the mouth. Drinkability is okay. To be honest this wasnt what I expected out of a supposed hop bomb. Ive had doubles and singles that delighted my hop fix much more. Worth a try though.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Deep amber pour. Resin and pine aroma. NIce alcohol at the swallow. Sweet malt balances nicely with the bittering hops. NIce job with this one. JohnnyJ (1309), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Pours a hazy orange/amber with nice sticky caramel colored head. Tons of piney hops, citrus, caramel, sweet malt, grass, and herbal notes. Very well balanced, with little alcohol coming through. Good stuff. oakbluff (298), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 15, 2007 Bomber shared with Piscator34. Amber coloured brew. Great nose of hops and more hops. Taste- bouquet of piney/citrus hops. A west coast classic! Nice mouthfeel- not too thin but not cloying. Smoothh stuff for such a killer brew. No booziness apparent, and highlyu drinkable. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2007 22 oz’er. Pours pure amber with a sheen and a thin and sturdy foam top. The aroma is as if I dove into a barrel of soaking hops ... wow. Likewise, this beer drinks with a kick-in-the-pants oily hoppiness ... earthy and citric all at the same time. The sting stays with you, too. The body is perfect ... not full, and not too light. Not sure this has enough of a solid foundation to support the superbly stacked-on powerful hop. This is an aptly named beer -- I’d love to try and freeze it -- and definitely for the Hopheads. (#3246, 12/14/2007)
