AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 2, 2007 Updated: Jan 11, 2009Poured a nice amber orange color, nose was pineapple and overly pine and grass. The flavor was malt with slight caramel, but overly done, soapy pine tree. Oily mouthfeel. Quite a bitter finish. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Jul 18, 2009

with age the hops drop out enough to allow the the sweetness to balance, but is it better?
DeweyDell (155), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 29, 2007 22 oz bomber. Pours amber color with a large cream colored head and great lacing. Strong citrusy hop aroma... lots of peach and pineapple and grapefruit. Wonderfully bitter taste, silky smooth in the mouth. You just want to keep drinking it... Damn this is good. acertain (249), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 24, 2007 The aroma on this one is unlike anything I have experience. It’s super hoppy, mostly pine, but it also smells rich, of caramel and even a hint of cream. In the mouth, it’s more of the same, with added complexity. Mostly balanced to slightly bitter, the fruitiness and creaminess is more pronounced in the flavor, such that it’s on par with the hoppy, more acidic flavors. I can see why some hard-core IPA lovers would think that this isn’t bitter enough, but for me it’s pure heaven. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Aug 24, 2007 Bottle. Pine, grapefruit, and lemon rind in the aroma. Very malty and bitter in the initial flavor and some of the citrus hops follow. Very bitter finish. Pretty good and will probably get better as I drink it and become inhebriated. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Aug 21, 2007 On tap at Vino’s in Roseville, CA. This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and a flowery hop aroma. There is a strong hop attack followed by a mellowing malt balance. The alcohol is noticeable, but not overbearing. A very pleasant brew. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Aug 17, 2007 Updated: Aug 19, 2007Bottle from Irishboy. Slainte! Pours a rich, deep amber; nice silky brew. Smells of orange and grapefruit. Flavor is grapefruit; in fact, it’s so much that the drinker may pucker his lips. Slight hints of orange peel and lemon are evident. Great mouthfeel. The beer equivalent of a Sour Bomb candy. Hop lovers, buy at least two of this beer. Cyrio (16), USA Aug 15, 2007 I’m slightly surprised by the percentile rating on this beer. Its good but I don’t find it to be an incredibly good tasting beer. I’m only half way done... lets see how the second half is.
