Poured from bomber...deep orange/brown color with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is nice and somewhat balanced...piney and citrus hops are definitely here...had a hard time catching the floral notes others note because of the robust nature of the strong pine and citrus notes. Flavor screams west-coast...strong and bitter hops throughout, and the slightest bit of a malt backbone...there must be a ridiculous amount of hops in here to have 9.2% and be so off-balance to the hops side. This being said, it was a good, bitter brew that kept me coming back for another drink. Lots of grapefruit, orange, pine, and some caramel malts. Oily on the palate with a very bitter finish. Like a bit more balance to my IIPAs, though this was still enjoyable.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/30/09. Pours golden orange, cream head. Incredible hoppy aroma, exactly what I want out of a west coast IIPA with floral and citrus dominating. Nice flavor with nothing up front, and then a very very slow bitterness building on the palate. Great IIPA.

Forget that it has a nice straw coloured head, forget that it is a clear pale amber, you will never forget the nose of this brew. Very floral hop aroma that should be in a spray so that we could smell it any time. Clean refreshing taste with emphasis on the hops. Long bitter finish that makes me anticipate the next sip. Thanks Mitch for my hop addiction!

(bottle). Cloudy copper/brownish color, with strands/layers of different colors moving around the glass. Medium size frothy, off white head. Floral hop aroma. Hoppy flavors with alcohol. long duration. Light bitter finish. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Fair lacing.

Bottle. Great clear golden pour with nice foamy off white head. Aroma is grassy hops, but also big time tropical fruits. Excellent nose! I could smell this for hours. Flavor is strong astringency up front, followed by the nice taste of bitter hops, with some pine and hints of citrus. Nice syrupy mouth feel.

22 oz bottle. Clear orange/gold with a smallish light orange tinted head. Resinous hop aroma with citrus, caramel, and pine. The bitterness really comes through in this, there is some sweetness but it never really gets a chance to surface too much. You can taste the alcohol but it isn’t too strong or overpowering, at 9.2% I would be surprised not to taste it. Slightly syrupy mouth feel but it finishes long and dry. This is a great IIPA, it doesn’t let the big malt base take over and really focuses on the hop.

Bottle. Pours deep amber coloured with a thick and creamy off white head. Lots of malts and hops in the aroma. Notes of grapefruit, pine, caramel, dried fruit, lemons and peach. Powerfull yet balanced flavour with notes of bread, caramel, resin, peach/apricot, orange fruit and grass. Really great stuff! Amazing brew.
