Bottle shared by Hogtown Harry with the regular fine folks on Canada Day ’06. Medium orange, small white head. Wow, so many hops in aroma - very pine/tree like - lots of herbs too - sweet and lovely. Taste is very bitter and very dry, with even more linger than initial taste. Medium body, alcohol well hidden, this is exactly as advertised. As Greg said earlier, we probably should be tired of these hop monsters by now, but it just isn’t happening!

Bottle: Courtesy of DarkElf via trade. Big citrus hop aroma with tons of grapefruit and a hint of apricot and pineapple. Pours a cloudy orange with a minimal white head. Thin sporadic lacing. The flavor has a light caramel backbone with a hint of apricot. Huge citrusy grapefruit hop finish with a hint of flowers. Hops really lingers in the aftertaste for quite some time.

Bottle: Vibrant orangish caramel, soft haze, moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing, little carbonation.   Strong resiny hop nose, smells like a kicker.   Quite a strong hop kick up front, but it seems to settle quickly.   However, after the finish the mouth begins to water heavily and you start to pucker.   Seems a bit unbalanced, geared obviously to the hopped side.   Big body and mouthfeel.   Finish is a touch too hot, but is still enjoyable.   This might be a 2½ IPA or a IIIPA as far as I am concered.   I consider myself somewhat of a hop head, but this one just makes you salivate and pucker up.   Malt needs to be brought up a notch to balance it out me thinks.   Still enjoyable tho.   Thanks Bob!

Served up at the recent Moylan’s release at the Brick Store Pub in Decatur, Georgia. Appearance: Dark amber body showing nice clarity and layered with a wispy, off-white head. Smell: Pleasingly fragrant, slightly sweet-scented hop aroma conveys large, deep notes of pine, citrus fruit, and flowers. Distant, lesser notes of malt as well. Taste: Pale malts with a supposed crystal malt sweetness deliver an impression of caramel candy. A sharp, aggressive taste of pine resin, lemon wedges, and white grapefruit bears down on the tongue and unleashes a substantial amount of hop bitterness. The latter half is marked by a now continuous stream of hop bitterness, more caustic pith qualities, and some warming alcohol heat. Some hints of orange blossom develop late. Finishes expectantly dry with a long, bristling bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. Lusciously smooth, downright creamy mouthfeel. Drinkability: A pungent, intense brew, but a good one. If you’re in the market for a mouth crammed full of hops then give this beer a try.

From Odeed. The beer pours to a clear glowing orange body with a nice creamy white head. The aroma is peaches, hop leaves, fruit, toasted malts. The flavor is hoppy butterscotch. Grapefruit, pine, hop leaves. The palate is bitter and medium bodied, creamy, nice belch.

From bottle courtesy of dpjuart. Great hoppy nose, with grapefruit, apricot, resin, and cat pee. Mild sweet caramel. Mellow and enjoyable. Medium heavy body with medium carbonation. Medium dark abmer clear with foamy lacing head. Starts and stays hoppy, bitter throughout. Sweet undertones but really just hop juice! Wonderfully bitter and strong. Nice beer with bitter, bitter after.

On tap at Six & Save, New Ken. The aroma is like opening up a bag of fresh hops. Fresh, juicy, resinous, citrus. There is hardly any malt character. Hazy orange-amber with thin white head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts with good malt sweetness, light meaty taste followed by a tone of hops. Citrus, pine, resin - this is a huge hophead beer. There are flavors here I’ve never experienced in other IPAs. Amazing. Huge bitter finish and after.

22oz. Bottle. I didn’t think I would find a beer that would deserve a 5 but this has to be it so far. Aroma was like cutting a fresh grapefruit. Body was a murky copper color with decent head and left spider web sugar lacing. Flavor was a good dose of citrus hop grapefruit, juciy, and sweet sugar. Alcohol content was well hidden, unlike some high octane beers that makes it feel like your forehead will hit the table. Great citrus aftertaste cool and crisp on the palate, great beer.

Big change coming from the Cantillon Iris to this - beer 15 at the party, for me. Almost some malts in the aroma! The taste is very hoppy, with a simple finish that just gets more and more hops, esp. in the after after-taste. Nice.
