Bottle. Pours an orange-brown body with a small white head. The aroma is concentrated orange oil AND pure pine juice...also some yeast and essentially quite floral. Flavour profile is quite sharp and piney - some sweet malt but it really takes the back seat to the juicy hops. Alcohol is well hidden and it makes this reasonably drinkable. A beer best drunk in small doses...

bottle, golden orange color with minimal head, I waited several weeks to rate this knowing what was about to happen, huge evergreen nose almost to the point of an ammoniated nose, huge bitter taste of grapefruit, lemons and sugar, when more is better this is almost too much

Amber color out of the bomber with a frothy off white head and a sharp pine forest and orange peel nose. This beer left lots of sticky lace on the side of the glass. Lots of aroma from what I expect out of a IIPA: grapefruit juice, orange zest and pineapple. Solid bready backbone with a big hoppy resin syrup and a long sweet grapefruit finish. Nice hop head beer.

Dark rufous. Lots of haze. Dense carbonation lethargically rises to form a thick head. Extremely potent hop aromas of pinesap, grapefruit, papaya, and blood oranges flood the nostrils. Muted glazed malt sweetness and a touch of cotton. Big mouthfeel with a hefty creaminess. Heavily chewy and sappy, initially, yet slightly airy, too. Pine needles pack a pinpoint sharpness which effortlessly penetrates the seductive wall of gooey hop oils. Noticeably bright upfront, despite the full-on hop intensity. Flavorsome hops are chock-full of fresh-picked grapefruit, rind and all. Malt lends a toasted caramel sweetness, but is essentially indiscernible. Acidity does emerge, but the unwavering sappiness does its best to dispel it. Hops continue to prick the tongue with their torturous grapefruit rind and pine needle bitterness. Becomes much brasher toward the finish as it loses much of its hop luster, but does reveal a fluffy whisper of malt sweetness that possesses just enough strength to combat the acidity. Profusion of pine and citrus flavors ensue with each belch. The aroma is huge, but sort of stale and not the least bit refined. Bitterness is one-dimensional, unrefined and heavily fatiguing as a result. Poor.

Big resiny hop nose. A little body odor. Malts are hard to come by - a little sugar caramel. Sugary flavors with resiny hops. Long resiny bitter finish. Very bitter. Copper color.

slightly hazy orange with a small creamy off-white head. tangerine, mandarin orange, sweet aroma. green fresh juicy resiny hops flavor of citrus fruits from the aroma. pretty smooth palate. good sweet bitter balance. i don’t notice alcohol but i did just polish off the imperial stout. overall its a great beer but nothing really jumps out and makes it unique from some other IIPA’s(including moylander), except a good smooth creamy palate...which IS half the battle in this style catagory imo.

Thanks to Droopy49 for sending this one. Pours with a clear medium amber body under a huge, creamy off white ehad. Flowery grapefruit aroma. The flavor is moderately sweet with a heavy bitterness that overpowers the malt. Bitter from start to finish. This has the hops, but it’s a bit out of balance without more underlying malt flavors coming through.
