22 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dirty_martini. Initially pours a cloudy orange with a moderate linen white head that lasted to the bottom of the glass. I noticed around mid-glass the beer had cleared somewhat. Very nice aroma of grapefruit and spruce trees. Flavor is again grapefruit and spruce. Long, bitter, hoppy finish. Almost like biting the white part of the skin of the grapefruit. The alcohol was very well hidden. Well crafted beer.

Copper colored and clear with an off white decent to good head. Smell is of course very hoppy with cirtus and pine. Taste is pleasingly bitter, and grassy.

a light orangish copper colored pour w/ a full off white head and some ncie lacing. Smells much smoother than the double lots of sweet hop notes touches of grass lots of grapefruit hints of strawberry and some nice carmel sweetness. Palate is full lightly creamy and nicely oily, well coated. Flavor is GREAT. A nice fruity hop flavor, grapefruit, apples, strawberries, some floral notes and a good carmel blend. This is just some good stuff.

CL RB gathering. poured a deep orange/light amber. Aroma: loads of citrus hops as well as some malt and a spicy quality. Taste is resinous and earthy hops, citrus, malts, and a spicyness in the middle. Finishes heavily bitter. alochol well hidden.

Bronze amber with a fluffed, hopped head. This indeed packs a savory blast of hops to clear out the sinuses. Cascades, Columbus, and Chinook are readily apparent. An almost perfect symphony of hop notes from floral to sweet, to fruity, to honeyed, to grapefruit to orange citrus and with a sliver of pine. Sweet and hoppy body with considerable bitterness. For as good as the aroma and flavors are, it is rather unbalanced, overly sweet and resinous, and the alcohol pushes it over the edge. This will knock your socks off.

22oz bottle-Peach orange hue with a sudsy off-white topping with sluggish carbonation. Nose is full of resinous hops-over the top pine, grapefruit, resin and pinecones. Flavors start out sweet and lightly fruity with a finish of huge piney and resinous hops. big tingle on the tongue with these priclkly hop notes. Doesnt really have the characteristics i would put with a IIPA. it doesnt have any citric quality other than the grapefruit. I guess since its high ABV and lots of hops, that puts it in the IIPA category. I would just call it as the bottle says-imperial ale. Palate is lush and hides the alcohol very nicely. bitterness is probably around the 150ibu range (reminds me of Old Crusty in some ways). Very nice brew!

Welcome to Maryland! 22oz - Clear orange, creamy off white head. Intense blast of hop aromas swirl with notes of fresh piney earth, white grapefruit zest, and touches of tropical fruit. Warming brings out a light sweet malt undertone. Bitter hop explosion of flavor as razor sharp grapefruit, sprucey earth and pine tear away the enamel from my teeth. Only a faint sweet malt backbone plays out late, but is merely just for show. Full bodied, prickly carbonation, bitter hop juice finish. If this doesn’t cure a hop-fix, nothing will! Awesome brew...
