May 31, 2006 Color is a hazy orange with a nice frothy off white head. Aroma is very hoppy with heavy citrus notes and caramel. Taste is a strong but at the same time subtle hoppiness, has a very nice fruit accent that you usually don’t see. Chewy mouthfeel.

Apr 21, 2008 North Raleigh tasting! Pour is amber with fluffy off white head and some spotty lacing. Piney aromas. Grapefruit and pine with a twist of malts.

Aug 29, 2006 Thanks bentley78 for the bottle. Sparkling clear cooper-amber body topped by a frothy yummy looking off-white head. The aroma is extremely intense: grapefruit and some herbalness as well. The flavor is puckeringly full of hoppy goodness. Good malt spine that keeps things together and a good, though not over the top, amount of bitterness. The palate is soft and cleansing. All that is left behind is the essence of a crap load of hops. This is the best beer I have yet had from ths brewery.

Feb 8, 2008 Thanks a lot miketd. Pours a hazy orange amber with a two finger creamy orange head. The aroma is very hoppy, sweet citrus, caramel, nice bouquet. The flavor is very strong, upfront waxy bitter hops, grapefruit peel, ctirusy and spicy, definitely a malt backbone, strong alcohol. Waxy bitter palate. Brutal on the mouth

Mar 11, 2007 Bottle sampled with stegosaurus. Pours amber in color with a small head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and grapefruit. Flavor is quite sharp and piney with a bitter finish. not bad

Feb 23, 2007 Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and caramel. THe flavor is caramel malts, lots of pine and hopspy blissfulness. Good brew.

Aug 21, 2007 On tap at Vino’s in Roseville, CA. This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and a flowery hop aroma. There is a strong hop attack followed by a mellowing malt balance. The alcohol is noticeable, but not overbearing. A very pleasant brew.

Mar 24, 2009 Very clear amber with a off white head. Awesome pine sap and sweet floral hop aromas. Medium body with soft carbonation. Big hop show here, with floral and pine with a sweet malty base to balance. Fucking great ipa
