Aroma is very hoppy with heavy citrus notes and caramel. Taste is a strong but at the same time subtle hoppiness, has a very nice fruit accent that you usually don’t see. Chewy mouthfeel. ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Sparkling clear cooper-amber body topped by a frothy yummy looking off-white head. The aroma is extremely intense: grapefruit and some herbalness as well. The flavor is puckeringly full of hoppy goodness. Good malt spine that keeps things together and a good, though not over the top, amount of bitterness. The palate is soft and cleansing. All that is left behind is the essence of a crap load of hops. This is the best beer I have yet had from ths brewery. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

The aroma is very hoppy, sweet citrus, caramel, nice bouquet. The flavor is very strong, upfront waxy bitter hops, grapefruit peel, ctirusy and spicy, definitely a malt backbone, strong alcohol. Waxy bitter palate. Brutal on the mouth Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2007 On tap at Vino’s in Roseville, CA. This amber ale poured with a decent off-white head and a flowery hop aroma. There is a strong hop attack followed by a mellowing malt balance. The alcohol is noticeable, but not overbearing. A very pleasant brew. AmEricanbrew (1880), Washington DC, USA
