Whoa. The smell is wonderful. It is on the next level. Grapefruity with a hint of peach. Damn that sucker is bitter. Bitter like a grapefruit is because you know how grapefruits can be bitter but you know that it is fruit and has natural sugars and stuff so it has also kind of sweet. Its got a decent malt background but not so much that it feels heavy. We have a winner here.

Poured a nice amber orange color, nose was pineapple and overly pine and grass. The flavor was malt with slight caramel, but overly done, soapy pine tree. Oily mouthfeel. Quite a bitter finish.

Clear copper body. Soapy off-white head. Outright hoppy nose. Sticks out a bit more than the "normal" double. Very sweetly hoppy taste. Citrus, grass, caramel. Good strong California IIPA.

clear, light amber color, head is tan. nose is strong of bitter hops, perspiration, slight alcohol, and caramel malts. flavor is quite bitter initially with the buttery and caramel malts really coming through in the finish. Bitter aftertaste is long and signifcant. This is truly one of the most bitter beers I’ve had. Wonder how many IBUs this puppy is.

Clear, blond body. Off-white head. Aroma of alpha hops (amarillo, cascade) delivering a great complexity. Harshly bitter (hops) 16flavour. Good complexity. Very well balanced. Even not very 1 dimensional on the hops.

Tastingsession LCRBM08.
Golden colored brew. Hoppy, citric aroma. Very hoppy aroma, west-coast style. Some fruits, pine. Nice.

bomber....also been sitting in the fridge for awhile.....appearance: very similar to the Weyerbacher Double Simcoe but this time with small white floaties.....aroma: fresh pine, strong hop profile, light on the malt which was on par to what i thought it would be.....taste: again, huge on the pine with sublte citrus notes, and long bitter pine finish. malts even things out a bit but the hops play the main role in this one.....nicely done.

Orange pour with a sticky white head. Aroma is like getting punched in the face by a hop monster. Mostly citrus and pine, but some sweet malt there. It stays in the back and never gets too sweet -- I like that. Oily mouth feel with a bitter pine finish. Great, great beer.
