Aroma is citrus hops incuding orange, pineapple, some sweetness, and a hint of vanilla. Full body, a little syrupy in the finish and a little alc. Flavor is piney bitterness, toffee, med sweet, very bitter and unbalanced, but then again it is called hopsickle. I can’t even imagine what this beer would have tasted fresh. zathrus13 (1303), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 20, 2008 22 oz bottle. This beer poured a hazy orange color. The aroma was heavy on citrus - orange, pine, and fruits. The flavor was phenomenal. Alcohol is pretty well hidden for a IIPA. The hop flavor is great - but not too overpowering. j12601 (1300), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Huge pine and citrus with a slight vanilla backbone. Medium bodied with a light malty sweetness. Huge long grapefruit and quinine bitterness. This was really good. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 16, 2006 Beer pours cloudy dark honey color with a big, thick, totally retained off white head. This is a beautiful beer to gaze upon. Big aroma of grapefruit, a bit of an alcohol blast. Flavor is thick and rich with hops with a bit of a knife edge to them. I guess I am a bit more of a fan of the lighter IPAs, but this is an excellent example of its style. Big and brash, but the flavor are quite well integrated. Sweet caramel flavors and a long finish. Quite a nice beer. BelgianBeerGal (1296), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Aroma is tons of acidic fruit hops like pineapple. Huge flavour with the malt backbone bursting through plus more fruit hops like pineapple and oranges. Well balanced. scrizzz (1293), kirkland, Washington, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Bottle. Pine, grapefruit, and lemon rind in the aroma. Very malty and bitter in the initial flavor and some of the citrus hops follow. Very bitter finish. Pretty good and will probably get better as I drink it and become inhebriated.
