Nice High alpha floral nose with some pine and fittingly grapefruit aromas. Very resinous and oily. Some mild ripe white fruit notes from the malt and a good round soft oily mouthfeel. Much better than the white Knuckle. scrizzz (1272), kirkland, Washington, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 4, 2006 I’ve been hanging on to this one for a bit but am glad I finally cracked it open. Citrusy, slightly spicy aroma. I swear I get a little bubble gum aromas as well. Creamy white head adds texture on the first couple of sips. Sweet caramel tastes with a sugary aftertaste that lastes for a while. Finish is the expected bitter taste but not overpowering. Reminds you of what kind of beer you are drinking. Well made double. Big ups to fordest for this one. j12601 (1259), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 30, 2009 Bottle that I took to the release of Flaming Fury. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Huge pine and citrus with a slight vanilla backbone. Medium bodied with a light malty sweetness. Huge long grapefruit and quinine bitterness. This was really good. turbo (1254), Arizona, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottle poured a crisp copper amber with a thick foamy head and sticky lacing that clung to glass.
Srong citrus and grapefruit aroma that I could still smell from a foot across the table.
Big citris and pine flavor with a sweet hoppy finish that linger a good bit.
It just seemed a little thin to me ...but what do I know. drfabulous (1240), Columbia, Missouri, USA

As soon as this was opened the smell of hops filled the kitchen. This is not a subtle beer but your over the top West Coast IIPA. What makes it even better is that it only costs $3.99 a bomber - that’s a steal for anything this good. Let’s hope the hop shortage doesn’t cause the prices to rise too much over the next year.
Aroma / Appearance - Strong pine, resin and manadarin oranges fill not only the glass but the airspace within five feet. Peaches and cream highlight a very strong imperial IPA. The one finger white head held underneath a fluid transparent copper body.
Flavor / Palate - The bitterness immediately causes one to begin puckering. While it doees this the mouth stays moist somehow. Peaches, pine resin and vanilla come first. A few later sips reveal raspberries and cedar chips. The finish is wet with a strong aftertaste that lingers up until you wash it away with something else. This is an in your face beer that doesn’t hold anything back. waolsen (1222), Littleton, Colorado, USA
