Bottle poured a crisp copper amber with a thick foamy head and sticky lacing that clung to glass. Srong citrus and grapefruit aroma that I could still smell from a foot across the table. Big citris and pine flavor with a sweet hoppy finish that linger a good bit. It just seemed a little thin to me ...but what do I know.

650 ml botttle

As soon as this was opened the smell of hops filled the kitchen. This is not a subtle beer but your over the top West Coast IIPA. What makes it even better is that it only costs $3.99 a bomber - that’s a steal for anything this good. Let’s hope the hop shortage doesn’t cause the prices to rise too much over the next year.

Aroma / Appearance - Strong pine, resin and manadarin oranges fill not only the glass but the airspace within five feet. Peaches and cream highlight a very strong imperial IPA. The one finger white head held underneath a fluid transparent copper body.

Flavor / Palate - The bitterness immediately causes one to begin puckering. While it doees this the mouth stays moist somehow. Peaches, pine resin and vanilla come first. A few later sips reveal raspberries and cedar chips. The finish is wet with a strong aftertaste that lingers up until you wash it away with something else. This is an in your face beer that doesn’t hold anything back.

Bottle@LCRBM08. A clear yellow/golden colored beer, with an off-white head. The aroma of American hops, malty with some grassy. in the back tones of fruit. The taste is hop bitter with fruits like peaches. It’s also spicey. The aftertaste is long spicey and bitter.

Bottle from Sams in Durham. This beer is no joke: it is a hop bomb. Fresh, sticky, citrusy, resiny, fruity, big ol hops coming out of this bad boy. The malt can barely stand up to the hops, but that is not really the point, is it? Beautiful deep orange-golden hazy pour with whitish head. Big. Bitter. Surprisingly drinkable. Yum.

bottle. copper pour with huge frothy head. great lacing. enormous aroma of citrus and hops. awesome hop bomb. citrus and a bitterness that reaches down deep into your throat. despite the enormous amount of hops there is a good balance. delicious. this is what a IIPA should taste like.

Beer pours a clear dark caramel with an average, white, frothy, mostly and rapidly diminishing head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light note of toasted grain, caramel; hoppy with heavy-to-harsh notes of resin/pine, grapefruit, light notes of apricot;; yeasty with light notes of dough; miscellaneous notes of light cedar.

’05 bottle shared by Dickinsonbeer at Bootopia. Amber color with a good size off white head. Amazing hop aroma! Piney, citrusy with a fair amount of malt in the background. Flavor starts off all hops(piney), then some sweet malt before finishing lightly bitter with some more hops. Really well made IIPA.

Man oh man, at first sip I did not like this at all but as it warmed I began to really enjoy some complexity here. Lots of fruity hops. Grapefruity hops with what seemed like Kiwi or Papaya.Very nice brew.
