Aroma is pure resinous hops, almost "high grade marijuana" in aroma, dank and piney. This is a true ode to the hop. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Murky copper pour with a creamy, one inch head. Fabulous fresh hop aroma - sweet grapefruit and orange as well as lighter notes of rose and perfume. Medium bodied beer with a solid caramalt back. Crystally sweet malts and citrusy hops intermingle, but are overcome with extreme bitterness in the finish. Rather rindish, sour and piney - which disrupts the flow of this otherwise smooth drinker. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

Incredible aroma of hops, grapefruit, pine, and flowers. Huge taste and oily mouthfeel. Resin and citrus flavors blend perfectly. Big bitterness, very long taste, with a sweet finish. A great beer. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Transparent copper pour, giant foamy white head, and dry, cotton-like lacing. Big piney hops in the nose, grapefruit and some vanilla cake frosting. Flavor has a lot of citrus and floral notes, followed by typical pine. Malty finish, fairly muted though. Drinkable and interesting, not terribly balanced, though. ben4321 (1020), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma: Mostly pine and citrus, some sweet malt smells in there as well
Appearance: Dark and hazy orange color, thick creamy white head
Flavor: Huge pine hops, there is some malt backing here, but the hops are the huge power
Palate: Great mouthfeel, big bodied
Overall Impression:
I really liked this one a lot, a strong and powerful, great tasting DIPA. Definitely a beer I enjoyed and would love to drink again. Had this just before the Moylander, and really liked them both. alobar (1020), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 11, 2005 Pine, hops, citrus aroma. Amber color. Definite "super hoppy taste." Not the best IPA I’ve ever had, but one worth having again. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Anyway, Cloudy orange/apricot color with huge fluffy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, apricot, and pine. Resiny aroma. This beer taste just the aroma. Thick on the palate with apricot/mango hoppy finish. I remember footbalm sent me my first bottle, it was the old silkscreen bottle. Man, was it goooood. The other bottle were good but nothing like the 1st bottle. Beardface (1009), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 19, 2008 A whole lot of hoppy bidness going on here. You can tell there’s a nice cocktail of them but it’s very difficult to discern one from the other. It all blends together into a super tasty mix though, very citrusy and of course piney and smooth as velvet. Highly recommended.
