It’s super hoppy, mostly pine, but it also smells rich, of caramel and even a hint of cream. In the mouth, it’s more of the same, with added complexity. Mostly balanced to slightly bitter, the fruitiness and creaminess is more pronounced in the flavor, such that it’s on par with the hoppy, more acidic flavors. I can see why some hard-core IPA lovers would think that this isn’t bitter enough, but for me it’s pure heaven. Bartzilla (445), San Diego, California, USA

Poured a dark auburn and provided some nice lacing. Hops galore. I won’t go into too much detail, but I smelled the hop assault well into the evening. I would love to have more of this in one evening than I am capable of withstanding. Time to start lobbying the local beer outlet around the corner to get me some of this so I can put that to a test. Hazy amber body with a tiny off-white head; Sweet mixed with hoppy flavor and a nice hoopy bite to the finish. The ale is super hoppy without being super bitter! Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Pours hazy orange with a mid-sized, fluffy head. Aroma is strong citrus hops, pine, grapefruit, apricot, caramel. Thick and creamy body. Bitter!! Hops of citrus, pine and grapefruit. The alcohol is well hidden under the huge mound of hop bitterness. Resiny, bitter finish is long...real long. Bitterness stays when the delicious beer is gone. I almost think it’s too hoppy...HA! This is awesome. ChazMania (415), Pasadena, California, USA

It has the great tension of flavor between bitter hop and aromatic fruit. I tasted clear pine and citrusy grapefruit along with a slight bubblegum thing. Me and 3 others did a taste test with 4 Imperials, this along with 3Floyds, Stone 10, and Reaper Sleighor. It’s a good time to be alive and like strong IPA! Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Anyway, Cloudy orange/apricot color with huge fluffy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, apricot, and pine. Resiny aroma. This beer taste just the aroma. Thick on the palate with apricot/mango hoppy finish. I remember footbalm sent me my first bottle, it was the old silkscreen bottle. Man, was it goooood. The other bottle were good but nothing like the 1st bottle. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA

The aroma was a very nice grapefruit smell that got your taste buds in the mood for some IPA lovin’. Taste was very hoppy, tons of citrus and a definite bitter aftertaste left in your mouth. Malt was just enough to keep a good solid balance in place. Very refreshing and incredibly easy to drink. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is overwhelmingly of piney-fresh hops. Taste matches the aroma as a palate-blasting assault of piney-hops with some tobacco and aggressive hop flavors. Did I mention there’s lots of hops in there? I do generally prefer maltier/sweeter D/IIPAs, but this suits me just fine when In need of a mega-hop blast. Well done!
