Oct 1, 2007 22oz. Bottle: Very hoppy aroma. Smells of hops, resin, pine, grapefruit, and citrus. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, rocky, tan head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Hazy. Flavor is heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, and resin. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Very bitter finish. Overall, a really nice Impy IPA. Great bitterness.

Dec 8, 2005 Updated: Jan 6, 2006Shared with and courtesy of owner @ Najas. Poured a hazy amber with and orange tint and huge extremly long lasting off-white head. Huge hop aroma. Citrusy and earthy and even floral. Hop flavors through and through but has a very nice balance with the caramel malt. Long bitter dry finish. Very nice beer.

Jul 29, 2006 Veeery nice. Floral hoppy aroma. Full body does well to balance out the assault of citrus and pine hops in the finish.

Mar 24, 2007 The most over-the-top Imperial IPA I’ve had, but truly a delicious brew in my opinion. Hops, hops, and more hops, but not unbalanced. Alcohol is evident, but the citrusy, grassy hop flavor is certainly the dominant element. A very tasty brew.

Nov 6, 2006 Big change coming from the Cantillon Iris to this - beer 15 at the party, for me. Almost some malts in the aroma! The taste is very hoppy, with a simple finish that just gets more and more hops, esp. in the after after-taste. Nice.

Jul 1, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Naven. Excellent hop flavor and aroma. Overpowering w/ hops and that’s just how I like it. All hop flavors- citrus, pine, grass, resin, etc., are represneted here. A great, West Coast IIPA.

Oct 3, 2006 22oz bottle via trade with SDBruBoy! - Thanks Cliff.. Pours cloudy amber with a thick offwhite head that stays well and laces the sides of the tulip.. Wow the aroma of this one is straight up grapefruit and pine.. Nice refreshing and clean aroma that will clear the sinuses right up.. Tons of hops in this one.. Flavor is amazingly well balanced though there are lots of hops there.. Lots of grapefruit, and pine but more pineapple and apricot with caramel tucked behind it all.. Wow this is what a big IPA is all about.. Bursting with flavors yet sooo balanced.. Palate is ever so smooth for a big hoppy brew.. Carbonated well but not overly so.. Resfreshing an very clean on the palate.. Nice bitter finish makes you come back for more again and again until you are wishing the bottle would refill.. This is beautiful stuff..

Mar 28, 2006 bomber from Julio’s Liquors in Westborough, MA. pours a beautiful orange-red amber with a thick, frothy well laced head that lasts till the last sip. nose is lots of fresh hops--citrus and grapefruit of note. Sweet caramel malt with an outstanding hop flavor that carries throughout leaving an excellent hop resin on the palate. yummy! very enjoyable, a great double ipa. more hops heavy than im used to...and i like it! so happy i have another one for the cellar.
