22oz bottle via trade with SDBruBoy! - Thanks Cliff.. Pours cloudy amber with a thick offwhite head that stays well and laces the sides of the tulip.. Wow the aroma of this one is straight up grapefruit and pine.. Nice refreshing and clean aroma that will clear the sinuses right up.. Tons of hops in this one.. Flavor is amazingly well balanced though there are lots of hops there.. Lots of grapefruit, and pine but more pineapple and apricot with caramel tucked behind it all.. Wow this is what a big IPA is all about.. Bursting with flavors yet sooo balanced.. Palate is ever so smooth for a big hoppy brew.. Carbonated well but not overly so.. Resfreshing an very clean on the palate.. Nice bitter finish makes you come back for more again and again until you are wishing the bottle would refill.. This is beautiful stuff..

i have grown to love this brew and its now my regular staple selection at moylans, and i am usually a dark beer guy, and they make good dark beer there. this stuff is so tasty, its like hops candy or something. taste like chewing on hops with the amount of oil that is in this beer, making it a viscous ambrosia almost neon orange in color when on tap. excellent readily available consistent triple ipa. i usually enjoy 3-4 glasses every time, impressive for an absurdly hopped ale that comes in above 9%. never seems to loose its enjoyablity and ’mmmmm’ factor, where as a lot of impy ipas tend to become discomforting after a bottle or so.

Sometimes I wave to people I don’t know. It’s very dangerous to wave to someone you don’t know because what if they don’t have a hand? They’ll think you’re cocky. "Look what I got motherfucker! This thing is useful. I’m gonna go pick something up!"

22 oz. bottle pours a clear orange with a medium light beige head and really sticky, dense lace. Massive aroma of pine, spice, and citrus from fresh hops, and a welcome undercurrent of some nice malt based aromas-caramel and dark fruit. Medium/full body, with a thick, resinous, chewy mouthfeel. Substantial bitterness, both spicy and citrusy, but well supported by a nice malty richness. Everyone seems to making this big IPA’s now, but few are making them this good.

I love the in your face bitterness of this beer. Has a medium body. The mouthfeel is awesome. Has a strong finish, with an incredable aftertaste. This is a wonderful beer. Jus tplain love it.

This beer finds a tenous balance at a high edge of bitterness and flavor. Hop assault. citrus and piney aroma. almost too much aroma for the mouth to hold. don’t now why the tongue doesnt go numb in surrender.

bottle. copper pour with huge frothy head. great lacing. enormous aroma of citrus and hops. awesome hop bomb. citrus and a bitterness that reaches down deep into your throat. despite the enormous amount of hops there is a good balance. delicious. this is what a IIPA should taste like.

Pours a clear, orangey-amber color with a mostly full, off-white, sticky, creamy, pillowy head which is mostly lasting and leaves some sticky lace. Nose is pure Northwet hops; sticky, resinous, pine needles, pink grapefruit, light grass, light white pepper, and faint floral and apricot notes. A faint biscuity malt presence is there but nothing else; gotta love the hops. Flavor is similar but very bitter and that takes a bit away from the hop flavors. Again some buttery biscuits is the malt base but barely noticeable under all the hops. Lots of pine needles and resinous notes with some rustic notes and dry grass underneath with some juicy, pink grapefruit notes hidden underneath the very high bitterness. Palate is lively, medium to full, sticky, prickly, and spicy. Finishes with loads of bitterness, white pepper, dry grass, rustic notes, and some hints at floral with lingering grapefruit still there. This isn’t even my favorite style of IIPA with all the bitterness and dryness but somehow it all fit together well. Citrus notes are diminished by the dry, bitter notes but still hang around all the way through the end. One of the most complex hop aromas and flavors, aside of Northbridge. Very good and worth the wait, even though it wasn’t my favorite style.
