| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Pours clear amber. Minimal white head with some lacing. Aroma of heavy hops, citrus & simcoe present. Taste is very hoppy, with minimal malt. Mix of hops is great here. Not oddly bitter, but very smooth and pleasant. This is one of my favorite IPA/IIPAs. Very nice mix here with a great body. hopson (595), Williamsville, New York, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 22, 2008 mmmmmm. Sticky thick resinous hops and corresponding body. bracingly bitter, and I like that a lot. But, the bitterness does not overwhelm the hop flavor, which is extremely complex and delicious. Liked it a lot. tromboneman (17), USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 21, 2006 A very good IPA and at a very good price. Though all and all this IPA has nothing on even the commonist of IPAs such as Dogfish’s 120,90, and even 60 minute IPAs. I wont even go on, you know what I mean. Overall I thought it left too much space between the maltiness and the hoppiness. I loved the fruitiness though... Got to love them fruits. Um Um.... | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 11, 2008 Pours from 22 oz bomber a medium semi clear amber forming a small foamy head that dissipates. Aroma of lovely hops, grapefruits, floral pine resins accentuate. Flavour a pure smooth hop bomb, grapefruit pine resins come through, with a sticky mouth feel. Malts help balance the citrusy hop bombage. The alcohol is well blended in this beer, and has more of a spicy character than burn. Overall a highly impressive beer. This beer was tasted in an Ommegang goblet. Highly recommended! asedzie (457), San Francisco, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours orange copper, fair off-white head. Spicy hops in the nose - so much there I can barely distinguish it all - grapefruit, passionfruit, pine needles, junipe, pineapple, juniper, floral nectary sweetness. Wow. Flavor is exceptional, full of all sorts of hoppy nuance, but also with strong, almost fruity toffee-like maltiness backing it up. This beer is all over the place. Basically I am getting a combination of tart exotic citrus, sweetish berries and the taste of fresh piney aroma in the nostrils. At least the alcohol is very subdued. Finish leaves an amazing amount of oil hop resin coating the palate. Extraordinary and over the top. I love it. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of grapefruit, oily resin, tropical fruit and just a hint of caramel. Tastes of mangos and other fresh hop flavors with caramel and biscuit taking a back seat. Medium body. Oily texture. Nicely bitter finish. One of the best west-coasters out there...and cheap as well. dkingsella (92), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Pours a nice copper color with a nice egg shell colored head. Sticky head left nice lacing. Aroma seems tropical...sweet with citrus and pineapple...hits you immediately upon opening the bottle. Very aggressive hops in the flavor. Very resinous with pronounced alcohol in the finish. Nice and bitter the way a DIPA should be. There is nothing timid about this beer. Hop Heads rejoice!!
