Very bitter flavor upfront, with potent citrus and pine. The reward is in the finish. Nice lingering memory on the palate. slowrunner77 (58), reno, USA

Different, thicker mouthfeel...tastes fresher, like a hop altoid. if that sounds good to you, try this one. too bad it’s only in 22’s. the only drawback is the escalating price...Stone’s imperial is just is good for way less."

Pours red with off white head. Bitter abounds and is very welcome! Cost issue aside this stuff is really great! monkeychugg55 (233), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Pours a clear copper with a large chunky, frothy, off-white head that leaves tons of thick lacing. HUGE aroma of pine needles, mango, grapefruit, orange, and some buired caramel malt. The flavor is caramel malt and fruit at first, but quickly turns to extremely bitter and hoppy. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a oily, slightly hot, very bitter finish. zizzybalubba (376), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA

Aroma of hops, hops, and more hops. Holy crap, this is hoppy! Taste is pure bitter grapefruit and pine. This is the hoppiest beer (that was any good) I have ever tried. Not even close to being balanced. It’s great if you can handle it. TheRealBastard (142), The-No, California, USA
