Thick frothy head on an orange amber beer. Delicious malt sweetness slowly gives way in each sip to the the towering hops ending in a long hop finish. A beautiful accomplishment. Can’t believe the light alcohol presence or the balance on the flavour teeter totter. As you drink through the bottle the hops tilt the balance well in their favour. Flavor is well balanced by very sweet malt and more hops, leaving a light hop burn. Gold color. Very good. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2006 Hazy copper body with lots of tiny bubbles; thin, rocky beige head. Aroma is very hoppy and rich, with lots of pine and grapefruit. Flavor is a pungent hop attack right from the start. Very peppery and bitter with some apricot fruitiness. More grapefruit and citrus. Carbonation is moderate, just right. Finshes dry and sticky with loads of hoppiness lingering long after the beer is gone. Alcohol presence is about right for a 9%er. Very nicely done. Aroma was pure hops, lots of resin and pine. Flavor was clearly a hop bomb, focus clearly on resin and pine hops. Some citric in the background added complexity. Gummy caramel accented malts provide a nice counterpoint and some balance. Really well done, thoroughly enjoyed this one. brewblackhole (1385), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a nice thick, white head. As soon as the liquid hits the glass, you can smell the hops. WOW! An incredibly intense hops aroma - lots of pine, with a little citrus. Flavor does not quite match the aroma, but it is full of hops. They just sit and relax on the tongue. Some of alcohol comes through, but overall, it is fairly well hidden. Quite tasty. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2006 Pours a dark amber clear enough to see laces of carbonated bubbles coming to the top that leaves a thick white lace that is frothy and sticky. The smell is pine, citrus, lemon and lime, grapefruit, honey, and grass. The taste is extremely bitter upfront with a honey sweetness but it is far from balanced. This is a hop bomb fantasticly bitter, although one-sided still very enjoyable and finishes with a musty, grass, bitterness.
