22 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick creamy head and huge slow moving bubbles. Aroma of hops, citrus (grapefruit), and even pine notes. Flavor is similiar with sweet carmel notes. This is a very rich beer with a big hop hit that lingers. I could barely notice the high alcohol content. I love this beer.

Thanks to both FlacoAlto & jjpm74 for bottles of this beer. the aroma is a nice spicy fresh floral hop smell with some piney resiny aromas coming through, all the while there are even hints of citrus/fruity smell. The taste is a really nice and smooth malty sweet at the front with a thick mouthfeel and then has a really big and nice bitter finish to th beer. The bitterness sits on the tounge for a while. Overall a damn good beer, and it makes me mad that I can find all other moylans brews in Ohio...but not the hopsickle for some reason.

Thick. Hazy. Malty. Very, very hoppy. Cascade comes through heavily. Tomahawk adds a deep bitterness. Slightly alcoholic tasting (only "slightly" considering its alcohol content). Better cold. Palate is big enough to carry the hops all the way through.

Great smooth heavy malt body with a nice after-tang. Lots of upfront citrus with sharp hop finish. Isnt balanced all that well but why the hell should it be, its an IIPA for chrissake. Like it says in the description, its about the hops and this ale is true to that effort. Somewhat sweet and overtly floral. This brew is a bazooka of a drink, sharpshooters need not apply. Well done.

Pour was a dingy copper color that had some turbidity to it. Creamy off-white head that was quite ample and offered up above average lacing. The aroma was a delicious blast of sweet citrus with notes of buttery sweet caramel and piney hops. The first few sips were a bit deceptive. Tasted a bit tame, until the hops were unleashed. A surging rush of bitter pine hops steamroll over just about any other flavor that attempts to assert itself. The malt backbone wilts beneath the onslaught of hops. Mouthfeel is very nice, the carbonation is perfect and the finish is as dry as a Stephen Wright comedy sketch. Interesting. Enjoyable. Just not the best DIPA I’ve ever had.

22oz bottle. Aroma: Really nice hop aroma. Floral, grapefruit, resin, and pine all coming through very strong. Some light maltiness and caramel behind all the hops. Appearance: Dark amber in color bordering on red and fairly clear. Off white head was big and foamy with great retention. Great lacing. Flavor: Some toasted malt and caramel come through, and then the hops begin. Grapefruit, pine, floral, grassy, earthy, and a strong resinous flavor. Fairly dry finish. Bitterness is strong, sharp, and lingers a long time. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Loved the aroma, liked the flavor, but the bitterness was a little over the top for me. Needed some water to help wash this one down. Still, a great beer and hop lovers will certainly dig it.

Bottle. I have had IIPAs with a higher average rating that I liked less than this beer. My first experience with Moylans and a very good one. This is an excellent Imperial IPA with all the classic characteristics of an IPA plus a full feel in the mouth and an alcohol presence. Very smooth and very balanced. A repeat buy for sure. My full rec.
