From bomber. Pours orange/brown with nice white foam ring. Good lacing. Aroma is piny and hoppy. Flavor is similar - pine, citrus, strong hops (as expected). Mouthfeel is fairly thick. Aftertaste is bitter with some alcohol burn. Really enjoyed this fine IPA. Californians certainly do know how to brew a good IPA. Good value also at $6 a bomber.

Flaske: Hop burns for første gang siden en maximus da jeg lige havde startet med at drikke velhumlet øl. Flot ravfarvet klar farve med fint skumhved. Duft af humle. Smag af humle, meget bitter og brænder i ganen af humle. Fin fin øl.

nice orange pour with a thin cream head. grapefruits, fresh hops and oranges on the nose. nice and smooth on the palate with an awesomely smooth flavor of hops and a really bitter piney hop finish. awesome imperial ipa.

a very very good ipa. very, very hoppy. bitter before, during, and well after you drink it. this is my first imperial ipa, and i am sold. the higher abv, not noticable... just before this i had a belgian strong that was only 1% higher abv and i could smell/taste the alcohol, that is unpleasant in beers (at least to me). no need to worry about that here, this is truly a man’s beer.

22 oz bottle. wow. very nice beer. enjoyable lingering bitterness. definately drinkable for the strength.

22oz hop-bomber. Thick, unfiltered orange color. Very multi-faceted beer. A rounded hoppy flavor from the different varieties of hops. A strong malt backbone which stills shines through the hop intensity. It finishes bitter, dry, and piny, in a real good way. Displays the better attributes of a barleywine and a double IPA. Hardcore hophead beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark golden orange with a decent off-white head that dissipates to a ring fairly quickly leaving sporadic lacing. Smell is like walking into a pine forest and breathing it in. There are some citrus aromas and a bread malt background as well. If the aroma is breathing it in, then the taste is like chewing on a pine cone and sucking in the pine resin. Serious pine hops here with some grapefruit and a bit of a bready malt sweetness. The pine hops leave a massive hop bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is super sticky with the pine resin and full bodied with a stinging pine bitterness. This is a great example of a DIPA and extremely enjoyable though the over-the-top bitterness takes away from the drinkability a bit. Highly recommended!

Bomber. Pours a hazy amber with a 2 finger off-white head. Nose pine resin and sour citrus. Palate – man, I think this is the hoppiest beer I’ve had to date. Hit you over the head intense pine hops and sour yellow grapefruit. Not much malt detected – it’s starting to give me a bit of heartburn it’s so hoppy – but I like it! Long lingering bitter finish. Medium body with splotchy lacing. It’s pretty unbalanced, but it certianly lives up to its name. A very intense IIPA.
