650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with a big off-white head that has good retention and plenty of lacing. The aroma is citrus and pine with a bit of vanilla. The flavor is biter hops forward with malty dough and apricots. The mouthfeel is full and smooth with a good malt backbone. The finish is medium in duration, semi-sweet rock candy with lingering biter hops. Overall: A very interesting IPA, much better than the ratings suggest. Recommended try.

Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a medium size head. Aroma is a nice balance of sweet malt and grapefruit and piney hops. Plenty of sweet maltiness in the flavor as well a good amount of grapefruit. Has a bitter hop finish. Nice malty mouthfeel.

Moylans always seem have a slight chocolate aroma to me maybe toffee. This beer Smells terriffic heavy on malty aromasand sweet. Pours orange copper with a nice off white head. Sweet malt with a nice bitter finish floral hops perfectly balance the sweet malty flavor. Moylans has a way of hopping their beer so the bite of hops finishes after the malt which gives each sip layers of flavor which I love. Moylans is one of my favorite brewerys and this is no exception, I look foward to trying more.

Tap at Northside. Pours out a nice light copper color with about a two finger white head. Very nice aroma of grapefruit and pine hops, maybe slight malty sweetness, but hops come through the most. Taste is a hop onslaught, grapefruit, pine and some hop resin on the finish, malts are there, but the hops come through. I enjoyed this one a lot.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange with a two finger head. This is a perfect everyday drinkin’ IPA. Great balance between malt and hops, big citrus nose, some floral undertones and some pine in the flavor. Tastes like freshly squeezed grapefruit. The bitterness lingers in the finish with a lively carbonation. Good IPA.

How come I’ve never seen this around Pgh before today? On tap at Fatheads, $8 for a draft. Pretty much looks like a ubiquitous pale lager except that it has a decent head. Yep, smells like a good IPA, floral and piney. Big bitter initial flavor roto-tilling that borders on IIPA territory. OOOH-WEEE. Bitter lasting linger which reminds me of chewing on green grapefruit rinds. Terrible nasty and offnesive, right on style. Soapy mouthcoating bitter medicine finish which ruins my taste buds for a half hour.

Poured a light orange with a small white head. Aromas of citrus and apricot, and a bit of pine. Very bitter, almost astringent, then my tongue got a bit used to it. Very hoppy, and has a uniqueness to it, but I didn’t knock my socks off. Found at Lone Hill Liquor on 10/5.

A very careful pour resulted in a one-finger head that dissipated to a strong film and intricate lacing. Piney hops dominate the smell with some grapefruit and hops oils evident. Strong bitter hops flavors with grapefruit and orange characteristics. Hardly any maltiness to offset the bitterness. Medium body, strong carbonation, and a strong but crisp and dry citrus finish. Truly a hophead’s beer.
