| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2008 A very careful pour resulted in a one-finger head that dissipated to a strong film and intricate lacing. Piney hops dominate the smell with some grapefruit and hops oils evident. Strong bitter hops flavors with grapefruit and orange characteristics. Hardly any maltiness to offset the bitterness. Medium body, strong carbonation, and a strong but crisp and dry citrus finish. Truly a hophead’s beer. Ungstrup (15275), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Bottled. An unclear dark orange beer with small brown chunks of yeast under a fluffy lazing light orangey head. The aroma is aroma is very IPA-like with notes of pine needles. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops, pine needles, and oranges, leading to a dry bitter, grassy, and grapefruity finish. malrubius (1002), Valley Stream, New York, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 26, 2008 Bottle pours a light amber yellow with not much head and some light lace. The aroma is grapefruit and hop oils. The flavor is sweet, very hopped (serious hop oils - resin), pine, and mandarin orange. The palate is medium rich and lively. Overall, this is quite nice, drinkable, and pleasant. Cheers to this. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 24, 2008 Cellared for a year, this was a real gusher when opened. That being said, its cream-colored head started huge and fell in peaks like a rootbeer float. Beneath that, an orange/amber body showed heavy particulate. Dry whiffs of Tang off the top which morphed into less artificial aromas of orange and tangerine along with a fresh pine scent. Malted notes beneath with mild alcohol. Grapefruit dominates flavor with additional citrus fruits and toffee. Finishes dry and lingers long with citric bitters. ((((((Since my traditional html references no longer work, I will simply mention that this 22 oz bottle was purchased in September, 2007 from Lundeed Liquors in Sycamore, IL.)))))) And I will continue to whine about my inability to use common punctuation and quotations in my reviews (along with the most inoffensive html tags) without having them explode into a shrapnel-storm of ampersands. nearbeer (1842), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Resin, citrus and honey aroma. Flavor is molasses, turning to spicy resin and citrus. Light-medium body is mostly smooth and finishes dry. Gypsy19 (643), California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2008 A good IPA, but a little too heavy on the grapefruit hoppiness, in my opinion. For an IPA lover, this might be considered excellent. For me, still delicious and fun to drink. Good body character and carbonation. Would have again if the opportunity presented itself. grimreeser (797), Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Pours orange amber with a decent head. Aroma is quite hoppy, but there is a nice malt backbone there also. Solid bitterness.
