The flavor is intense citrus hops, but with detectable maltiness. It’s a good balance. Aroma is a nice piney citrus. This is a very good beer. lebshiff21 (85), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

Flowery nose, hazy amber hue. Lots of hops throughout, spicy, floral and tastes almost stronger than 6.5%. pforei (338), USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 1, 2008 bottle. Very nice looking pour- bright golden amber color, big creamy head that sticks around for a good long time, never fully clearing. Aromas of pine needles, earthy floral notes, and a creamy sweetness. Flavors start with a sharp, dry bitterness. Very chalky, acrid tobacco-ish hop character. Thick, bready sweetness. Not so well done on the combinations- the hop character is too sharp and chalky, the malt is a bit too sticky sweet. Those issues come through in the palate- oily and thick. Not an especially well-done IPA.
