Commercial Description:
Our version of the IPA beer style possesses a deep golden hue, rich malty flavor, a bold, complex, and enduring hop finish and is extremely full bodied. We dry hop this brew and use a combination of Fuggles and Chinook hop varieties resulting in an extremely enticing floral and spicy aroma as well as hop character. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are combined to achieve an initial specific gravity approaching 1.065.

Bomber. Pours a slightly hazy amber with one finger beige head. Spotty lacing on the glass. Nose is mainly caramel malts with some floral hops in the background. Palate is Caramel malt upfront with some sour grapefruit. Big, bitter resin finish – a lot more than I expected for an IPA and more than the nose showed. Medium mouth feel. Not a bad brew - Moylans knows their hop bombs.

Huge aroma and flavor for a straight IPA. Soapy grapefruit aromas. Flavor is citrus and a bitter metallic hop finish. Clear golden color with a big white head.

Poured to a golden-yellow-orange with medium thick white head that lingered thru mid-glass and left okay lacing. Aroma was the anticipated citrusy grapefruit hops, although milder than I was expecting, especially from Moylan. Mouthfeel was medium boided and slightly tangy, and the flavor picked up the citrus hops as well. This all led to a long smooth finish. While a darn good beer, it was not quite along the same line as other Moylan’s I’ve had.
