Commercial Description:
Our version of the IPA beer style possesses a deep golden hue, rich malty flavor, a bold, complex, and enduring hop finish and is extremely full bodied. We dry hop this brew and use a combination of Fuggles and Chinook hop varieties resulting in an extremely enticing floral and spicy aroma as well as hop character. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are combined to achieve an initial specific gravity approaching 1.065.

Very solid. Had some on tap at Rattle n Hum in NYC. Nice balance between the hops and malts. The hops are certainly present but not overpowering. Pretty smooth finish, although bitter. Nice beer.

Bomber. Nose is resinous and spicy. Flavor is more of the same, with more malt than the nose, a touch of peaches, and what I’ve come to know as the ’classic’ dark wood Moylans finish that bombs the upper palate with bittereness. Not like the all-out assualt of hopsickle, but quite woody. 1/4 of the bottle was sacrificed as a deglaze for an enchilada sauce and in that capacity, it was very, very apropos. Good - nothing overly special.

On cask at pony bar NYC. Very astrigent and oily ipa. Bitter florals and tangarine and grapefruit. Nose of florals and stinging nectar. Nice

From a 22-oz brown bottle, pours a solid dark gold color with a fine bubble head. Hoppy (piney) aroma, medium body, hop flavor and bitterness barely dominate the malt. Slight caramel character and sweetness. Very drinkable.

Pours orange with thick white head. Aroma of has slight notes of piney hops. There is some age in this one. Minimal hops noted and overwhelmed with malt. Would like to try again.

Sweet malt, grapefruit, and grass aroma. Cloudy, golden-orange, white head with faint lacing. Grapefruit, mild caramel, smoke, and herbal flavour notes. Full bodied, balanced, with medium lasting bitterness.

22 oz bottle pours hazy gold with bubbly white head and good lacing. Very earthy pine with lemon and orange, with touch of funk. Mild vanilla taste followed by little funk and slow dry finish. Very flavorful but not the best flavors. As it warms the caramel comes out more, but so does the nasty sweat flavor and aroma. This is not good for the style. I reiterate that this is flavorful but not quite what I want and not very drinkable.
