TheOrange (342), Kent, Ohio, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pour is a nice deep almost black dark brown. The head is small, and deep tan. The aroma is dominated by the sweet roasty malts. There are a lot of flavors in this beer. The hops are fairly quite, the flavor is very chocolate/coffee with nice nutty overtones. The roasted malts are not too strong, and give a nice splash of sweetness. The finish is not crisp, but does not linger too long. The body over all I would describe as medium bodied. A very enjoyable stout. clingman71 (172), Centerville, Ohio, USA Dec 30, 2007 Draft-Nitrogen @ brewery. Very dark, almost brown head, aroma of coffee, very creamy and smooth, pretty flavorful for an Irish Stout, a style that I normally find lacking arjoseph (555), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 4, 2007 GABF 2007. Wonderful dry coffee roast smell. Thin bodied, not much intensity to the flavor. The roastiness that’s there is watered down, waits until the finish to emerge. Other than that, there’s not much here to describe other than a little sourness throughout. Not as malty or as dry as I would like. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 03/22/1997
