Catina’s favorite. Very malty sweet and smooth. A bit of a mutton aroma, no kidding. Probably a sweet sauce I have associate with good mutton. Very drinkable, but not lot more.

Bottle from Bevmo. Hazy brown with a creamy white head. Grain and hops aroma. Toffee, cereal, and mild alcohol taste with some nice silky caramel notes. Not bad.

Bomber bottle from Andersons in Toledo, poured into a brandy snifter and a wide mouth tulip, the tulip brought out more bubbles and better color, ruby brown, wide mouth glass appears better for the visual effect, aromas of sweet alcohol and medicine, vegetables?!? aroma of peas right out of the can before you heat them up, not a good thing… Faint sweet malt, faint fruit fragrances, some chocolate, candy and fruit sweetness, watery and thin mouth feel, some dark malt flavor of caramel, alcohol with a phenol peppery bite at the finish, taste of peas in the background, some alcohol warmth on the palate, some liquor flavors, watery and thin mouth feel for a scotch ale, poor example of a Scotch ale, I do not recommend this at all, others have said they may have gotten bad bottles, this may be a bad bottle but this is off in many ways, about the only positive thing I can say is it is kind of pretty to look at but that is it, reminds of when I was younger and I went out to dinner with a buddy, we walked by a table where a beautiful long haired brunette was seated with her date (boy friend or husband), they looked to young to be married, anyway, she was a beauty but when she ate, she chewed with her mouth open, I mean lips smacking and you saw the food in her mouth type of open mouth eating, she was a real treat to look at but as soon as she started eating ‘Look out!’ you were in for a foul display of manners, and this ale reminds me of that moment, nice to look at but as soon you get close ew! Yuck! get away from me, a big disappointment.

Bomber from the cooler at the local rip and run. Pours a rosy amber. Nose has an air of some funky been sitting in the sun too long at the fruitstand in a third world country weirdo fruit smell mixed with wet squishy anerobic compost. Mind you I like compost, but in the garden not my beer glass. The following is what I gleaned from two brave mouthfulls. Medium watery body that has a blown kiss of hops. That was the only positive style point I could give. The wishy washy liquid reminded me of unhopped wort. I believe this was a bad bottle but I am disinclined to purchase another in the name of science. It has been confirmed that this beer will kill slugs by the score.
