Big caramel aroma with a hint of smoke.
The flavor is another story, however. A big diacetyl, vegetable disaster. O.K., some diacetyl is acceptable in this style, but this one just didn’t pull it off well. argo0 (6967), Washington DC, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 20, 2007 Bottle. Pours a red-brown with very little head which disappears quickly and leaves no trace. Aroma is very malty with hints of chocolate or caramel. Flavor is all malt. Palate is very thick, definitely a slow sipping beer. A very flavorful beer but not to my taste.
