Apr 24, 2007 Updated: Dec 4, 2007Bottle. Hazy amber with a big beige head. Dusty, fruity, light sour aroma and taste. Medium body with a sour finish. 4-4-3-2-8 Re-Rate. 5-4-5-3-11 Bottle. The first time I had this one it was probably infected, so finaly I get to re-rate it. A amber beer with a beige head. The aroma and taste is of caramel malt, dusty barnyard, roasted malt and chocolate. Medium body with a light sweet finish. I had this in a blind tasting and thought that it was a bier de garde.

Hazy amber color. Milk chocolate aroma. Good body, some sweet malty flavor, a lot of (sweet) caramel, reasonabe bitterness, light vegetables.

Hazy dark amber color. Tha aroma shows some infection. Quite good malt flavor, fresh, easily drinkable, a lot of sweet caramel (without being sticky), maybe some fruitness; but the light sourness makes me believe something went wrong with this bottle. Weird.

Apr 14, 2007 22oz bomber, no date. Pours a clear copper with a two finger light beige head, good retention. Aroma of yeasty nuts, old stale toffee, dust, and no smoky peat in sight. Some very light chocolate does show up in the taste, as well as all the other aromas with the addition of some spicy alcohol. Dry tingly finish. Moderate to high carbonation, medium body. I allowed it to warm up, but this may have been a bad idea.This kinda sucked.

Apr 8, 2007 Pours an orange/copper color with a medium head. Aroma of toffee and a bit of prunes. Taste is almost all sweetness; toffee, caramel, maybe cotton candy? Medium+ body. Long, sweet finish. Not bad, but a little too sweet, even for a scotch style.

Mar 18, 2007 Bomber. Smells very inviting and crisp. Tastes at first crisp and bright, this is when the hops come through. Then it moves on to the heavy malting, sweet and somewhat caramelish. Lasting finish with tongue tingling alcohol.

Mar 10, 2007 Nice deep mahogany pour with a big foamy light tan head. Aroma is of a subtle hop, with caramelized malts. Not as full bodied as the description said. The hops are very much missing from this beer, the malts are caramelized and roasty. Nice slow finish. pretty good overall.

Mar 10, 2007 Sampled from BevMo. Expected a little bit more from it but it was overall weak. Poured amber red with a thin lacey head. Mouthfeel is very sweet and flavor has a thick oaked taste. Very nice.
