Sampled at Tyler’s, Durham, along with durhambeer. Been years since I’ve tried this, and it was definitely a solid scotch. Could be more handsome, as it looked a bit dingy, but the mouthfeel was nice and full. Attractive mix of spice, fruit, and mild smoke/peat in the flavors. I’ll have to pick up some bottles.

Sampled at Tyler’s. Reddish brown pour with big-bubbled beige head. Tastes like a pretty standard Scotch ale. Malty, with caramel and a wee bit of peat. A bit sweeter than some perhaps, a maybe a bit thinner on the palate. Not bad, but I’m generally a sucker for this style.

Pours attractive deep copper brown with two finger thick cream colored head. Nose is a bit subdued with peat and some sweet fruity character. The flavor has tons of that mystery prune like fruit/berry/floral influence. Just can’t put my finger on it. Kind of throws the whole beer off.

Plenty hearty, and great with your steak and potatoes...or better yet, your corned beef and cabbage. Try it. If you dont like it...well...piss off.

Bottle. Rich malt notes, caramel, scotch. A little sticky in the mouth. Solid beer.

Red piur with a little bit of head. Aroma is peaty, caramel and molsses, light fruitiness. Flavor is fruity and smokey, with earthy notes and a pervasive sweetness. Some honey, some nuts. Pretty good Scotch.

~Pours a cloudy dark amber with little to no head. ~Light caramel and molasses in scent. ~Malty, sugary, smoked, candy flavor. ~Medium feel, sweet finish. ~Enjoyable scotch.

Kilt lift S5L2F2T4O8: On tap at the Bocktown, nice place. A diminutive amount of fruit on the olfactory, comes across rather friendly to the nose. Brown red clear brew with no carbonation, looks completely flat. Earthy alky and buckskin flavors. Has some carob or choco backdrop. Not as burly as I anticipated but alky flavors build thru the session. Slight CO2 on the tongue. Acceptable finish tho somewhat medicinal
