| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle. Dark orange, robust thick orange-tinted head, generous lace. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Golden pour with sticky white head. Very bitter, hoppy nose. Flavor is deliciously bitter. Viney, grapefruit rind. Mmm. If only all Irish things were as cool as Moylan’s. Great lingering bitterness. ajm (949), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 20, 2009 2001 keg at Lucky Baldwin’s. What’s amazing about this beer is that of all the Dubs you could have aged (for eight F-ing years, no less) only a few would have had something special uncovered. This is such a beer. Moves closer to a barley wine. Like the geological process by which the swamplands of yester-millenium were compacted into coal, so too have these hops been processed into a dark, sharply charcoal and black pepper outline on the now tartly-malted body. Never before did I think there might be a purpose to aging an IPA. Lagunitasfan (452), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 11, 2009 22 oz bottle as I watch my Chargers die. Smells hoppy sweet, not bitter bomb. Beautiful dark amber/orange color. Fluffy head. Tastes like it smells. Super sweet thick fruity hoppy goodness. Coats the mouth. Bitterness jumps out after the sweet full burst fades. Yummy. fidelis83 (729), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Pours a nice orange with with amber accents and a 3 finger yellowish chunky and long lasting head that leaves firm though thin lacing. Aroma is big on sweet pine and floral hops with a decent amount of citrus as well, milky creamy caramel, some grainy malt, some berry, and buttered toast and biscuits. Flavor is some grapefruit and tons of pine hops with lots and lots of creamy caramel, playful toffee, toasted barley, toasted bread, a bit of passionfruit, and a slichtly chalky taste near the pine and burnt sugar finish. Body is thick, for a DIPA sweet and somewhat sticky with an oily finish. A good though somewhat unimaginitive DIPA jujubeast6000 (794), Houston, Texas, USA

Pours a filtered clear golden orangish color body. Big foamy white head, lasting. Very hoppy piney aroma. Citrusy and dry. Harsh dry taste, bitter grapefruit. Citrus with some nutty balance. Less harsh as it warms, more palatable, a little sweeter too.
