Nov 1, 2008 Bottled sample. Clear orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, pine sap, and grapefruit. In the mouth, the citrusy-woody hops are front and centre, with a fairly dry malt backbone. Very drying and bitter, even by IIPA standards, and the bittering isn’t all that smooth. It’s fairly good overall, but not quite top class.

Oct 30, 2008 Bottle pours orange color with off white head . Is a little hazy from all the hops. Has grapefruit aroma, pine, citrus, and alcohol. Has a medium mouthfeel. Flavor is pure simcoe grapefruit. Tart, pine, citrus flavors meld together with a touch of sweetness. Overall, this is a great brew and one that does the style justice.

Oct 29, 2008 Bottle@LCRBM 2008. A clear golden colored beer with an off-white head. The aroma of American hops, with malts and fruits. Also some flower. The taste of hop bitter, fruits like grapes. The aftertaste is bitter and stays for a while.

Oct 28, 2008 Bottle: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of deep bitter hoppy notes with some small notes of citrus also noticeable. Taste is also a mix between some deeply bitter hops with some notes of citrus. Malt bill is buried in the mix and doesn’t play as big of a role as I was expecting. I am surprised that it wasn’t more bitter then that…
