Commercial Description:
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Poured a hazy orange color with and off white head. Aroma was very hoppy but not enough to smell from far away. Flavor is very bitter but not very well balanced by the malts. Not quite as good as the hopsicle.

Brewed in Novato, Ca. This is a robust beer that chimes in at a hearty 8.5% ABV. The aroma begins with powerful spicy malt notes that finishes with strong and flowery hops with distant hints of citrus. Has a seducing appearance with it’s creamy white head and nicely carbonated vibrant copper body. The first drink whams your senses. It has an initial burst of malty goodness tailed by a totally dominating armada of hops that throws your taste buds awash in a sea of bitterness. Damn this one is hoppy! Finishes dry and bitter. This beer also pleases the pallet with it’s full body and medium mouthfeel. This is a straight forward kick you in the bean bag double IPA, but I think the overbearing hop bitterness takes away from some complexity and layering of the beer. Nonetheless, still a well crafted brew! Try this one with a nice spicy steak!

Bottle. Pours a nice rich copper color with great white soapy head. Aroma is nice with sweet hops and nice floral tones. The initial taste is nice with pleasant bitterness but ends rather abruptly with a dry, sour, bitter finish. It seems they started off well and just kind of got tired of it before they finished it.

Bottle, thanks to jsquire for this one. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Malty grassy hoppy aroma with hints of grapefruit. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor with lots of grassy citrus hints. Has a long hoppy bitter finish.

A well put together IPA on the dub side. Sampled here in Western Mass in a 22. The aroma/taste and hop presence isnt as powerful as I would expect from a dub IPA, but the quality of this beer reigns through. Definately a sipin beer worth the time.

Bomber from Sparky! This is the second beer I have had from Moylans and both have been awesome! Ligth orange tint, decent head and lacing. Smell is grassy/citrus hops. Nice bitter flavor not overboard or to little. A little to sugary but still hoppy as hell.. Medium texture, real easy to drink. Good Double IPA! Thanks E for the brew!!!

Poured a clear orange with a one-finger head. Lots of tiny bubbles rising throughout the drink. Strong floral hops aroma with a background of citrus and grass. Strong bitter hops flavor as well, hardly any maltiness, but some nutty dryness in the end. medium to full bodied, great carbonation - a very nice beer.

Nice appearance, thick white head on top of a hazey orange pour. Hoppy aroma. Loads of fruit and hops in the flavor. Nice, bitter finish.
