Commercial Description:
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

22oz bottle from Shangy’s in Allentown, PA. Huge resiny, piney, flavor, little malt backbone. Biscuit notes in finish, but of course are overwhelmed by hops. Could use more to balance. Hop aroma was subdued, and not close to the better examples of the style.

Bottle shared with kleyland and KieferUGA at the GA-CA-VA-NY-MA pre-NYE Extravaganza. Poured an orange color with a smallish head. Aroma of pine, caramel, grapefruit, and biscuit. Flavors was very unbalanced and had very assertive hops. Definitely a hop bomb to me. Hops lingered on the palate. Could use some balance here.

Draft @ brewery. Deep golden color similar to the IPA. Big malt and Big hops, malty sweet and resiny hoppiness simultaneously. Very drinkable DIPA, but not spectacular.

Bottle courtesy of alexanderj, shared with kleyland and alexanderj at the GA-CA-VA-NY-MA pre-NYE Extravaganza. Pours a clear golden with a smallish off white head. Aroma of citrus notes with a mixture of piney hops for good measure. Medium body. Hops are very forward in this beer. Thick piney taste. A little too unbalanced for me. Very long, bitter finish.

Thanks Santa! Nice hops aroma (spicy and citrus). Golden hazy pour with a soft white head and good lacing. Smoother than expected with a citrus hops taste that grabs you at the end. I want more of this!

Slightly hazy sunshine pour with a two finger head. Aroma of big citrus hops. Hints of pine. Not really getting the malt thing unless the hops are just that dominate. Somewhat resiny with a bitter finish but also a tad of sweetness. Weird.. Pretty damn solid offering.

22 oz bomber from BevMo in PHX. Poured a beautifully clear amber with a thin yet frothy head that laced the glass throughout. The aroma was that of a classic double IPA with citrus and resin hops balanced by caramelly malt. Taste was similar although tipped more toward the ’dry and bitter’ end of the scale -- a bit unbalanced -- but still very nice. Wish this were available in NC!

The commercial description is almost acurate. It is very aggressive and resiny and does have a big malty backbone but i think it could have used a bit more maltiness to get up to level 4. Extreme bitterness, with a medium and creamy body. Finishes with lots of pine needles and an oily palate.
