Commercial Description:
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Very tasty. Strong hop flavor. But not the heavy malts that other doubles have. I guess in beer talk, it’s piney, but I’m enjoying the bit of fruit taste as well. Really wonderful beer. Yet another great CA beer we have to special order to drink. If it wasn’t for forest fires, no water, and sinking into the ocean, I would move to California just for the beer.

Poured a mild yet deep orange-copper color with a fluffy, entrancing head. Big "it" quality nose of fruit and bread perfectly balanced. Grand lacing. The finish completely sold me. Piquant, yet not overly bitter for an imperial IPA. I utterly love this beer!

This is got to be up there on my favorite IIPA list. Huge piney aroma with a little malt sweetness, some grapefruit, and a little toastiness too. Pours a nice orange color with a long lasting head and lacing down all the way to the last sip. Flavor is initially bitter. Mostly pine, some grapefruit, and some toasty caramel malt backing. Pretty damn bitter really! Dry, resiny, and sticky. I was finished 15 minutes ago and I still have sticky drymouth. I love this one. This should be rated higher. I think its better than Yulesmith, which is apparently the third best IIPA available.

Fairly bitter - high alcohol content - taste of hops and flavor of grapefruit.

Bottle. Mellow hop aroma - strong, but not especially so for an IPA. Poured with nice white head and golden-amber color. Great almost smokey, heavily-hopped flavor with a good bitter finnish. Potent!

22oz bottle, consumed 9/26/07. Deep gold color with fairly quick dying head, minimal lacing. Flavor is real big on the hops, very little malt, lots of west coast piney-ness. Flavor is an all out assault of hops, little bit of malt hiding there, hoppiness borders on being overly abrasive with long lingering bitter finish.
