Aroma wa oddly low key for and IIPA, but not so the taste, with a lot of hop action. Mouthfeel was okay but not outstanding. Pretty good but not great. Anker (308), Hillerød, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 13, 2009 Slightly hazy copper-amber pour, with a nice wispy eggshell head that leaves soapy lace. Orange and floral aromas abound. A huge amount of hops in this, from the forefront. It’s almost like chewing on a hop while drinking a citrus-malt brew. There is a nice orange-grapefruit presence, and some caramel malt makes its way in there. But, for the most part, the substantive malt tone is sharply cut by the lasting finish of a triple-digit IBU peppering hop. The texture is resinous, with a full-body and smooth mouthfeel. Big and bold, it really makes a statement. Appreciated for that statement, even if just slightly overbalanced on the hop side. Aging should cut that a bit, but definitely a tasty offering fresh and new! Daytonbeer (15), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Pours a copper color. Aroma is hoppy as expected. First taste is intensely hoppy with brief touch of citrus. Second taste includes alcohol and slight hops. Wait for it...aftertaste is tea and hay. Grainy feel. Very complex. Excellent beer. bleeng (597), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2009 Draft at Flying Saucer Houston. Bright copper and clear-nice color. Fluffy white head. Nose is sweet, resiny, grapefruity and of course super hoppy. Taste is all hops, all day. Sweet and sticky and very alcoholic. Not subtle. hellbilly (1532), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

it smells of cereal grain, orange/citrusy hops, grass, a touch of spice and leafy (hops).
the flavor is the same... albeit with too much malty sweetness getting in the way of a dry greatly bittered finish and beautiful piny aftertaste. i’m not sure of the age on this so... are the hops fading or is it supposed to be this malt balanced?
the body is medium. the texture is soft and creamy while there is some prickly dry mouth feeling. it is terribly easy to drink despite the alcohol content! 7/3/7/4/16/3.7 ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA
