Commercial Description:
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Grapefruit aroma, thin head, golden color, and steady light carbonation. The initial burnt caramel malt backbone is quickly attacked by the sharp, resiny hops and they fight for yr attention through the finish. Another knockout from Moylans.

22 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dirty_martini. Pours a cloudy orange with a large yellow-white head and lots of floaters. Very nice aroma of grapefruit and spruce. The citrus is especially strong. Flavor is again grapefruit and spruce with a very stable malt backbone. The finish is quite bitter but does not linger. The palate is a bit sticky. A very good and fun beer.

Bomber 65 cl bottle. Cloudy amber colour with a nice white head. Nice aroma of hops such as floral, citrus and caramel. Great bitter flavour of hops, citrus and caramel. Very great and nice.

Thanks to Juancho. The one I can barely remember from last night, and can still taste the hops in my mouth. Extremely hoppy.

22oz Bomber $5.29 Liquid Solutions Moylander Double IPA pours a dirty orange with a slight chill haze. A dense 2 finger head appeared on the pour that slowly fell and left sheet lacing down the glass after each sip. The head never fell to less than 1 finger. Good looking beer. There is definately a solid caramel backbone but that’s way in the back. What really stands out is the big juicy resiny hops. There’s a bitter grapefruit rind citrus aroma shining through occasionally but it always leads back to the resiny hops. Excellent. Not a great deal of malt in the flavor but in this case it’s just right. This beer is a hop bomb. Resiny hop bitterness hits mid palate and coats the tongue with a tastebud stomping bitterness. There is some malt, in the form of caramel, that kickes things off but the hops quickly take over. Good tongue numbing bitterness on the swallow as the hops get more bitter and resinous. My kind of IIPA. Medium bodied with a mildly prickly carbonation that awakens the tongue for the ass kicking it’s about to recieve. Bitterness throughout that lingers. Good body for the abv. Not sticky like others tend to be. Easily drinkable for a big brew. The hops will wreck the tongue though so drinking more than one at a time seems like a waste to me cause you wont get the tongue lashing. My first beer from Moylan’s and won’t be my last. I’m anxious to try the others. Now if I can only figure out how to get my hands on some more. 6/27/07

Sweet pineappley hop smell. Beautiful apricot/light brown color and very cloudy. Long-lasting head. Really powerful and nice hop sting, pineapple flavor. But there’s a distinct flavor I don’t like that, forgive me, I don’t know how to describe: cardboardy almond malt I guess. Nice warming alcohol effect. [tasted next to a Moylans Hopsickle] I used to think of Hopsickle as near overkill but no way, I like it bettter. [tasted next to a Three Floyds Dreadnaught Imperial IPA] Both very fragrant, but the Dreadnaught is a lot of peach compared to the malt-pineapple Moylander aroma. The taste matches their aroma. The Dreadnaught is also very rich on the palate by comparison.

Bottle poured a clear copper/amber color with a huge off white head. The aroma was loaded with pine and citrus hops, caramel malts, alcohol and some yeast esters. The flavor was bitter and fruity with a big malty profile that balaned.

Dang...delicious. 22. Pours murky dark amber to brown but settles to clear. Enormous surging, sudsy, moussy tan head that falls eventually to a small cap, leaving long sheets of lace. It starts out with the glass full and a 3:1 head-beer ratio; no wonder it’s murky at first. Gargantuan piney aroma, really smells fresh and botanical and delicious. Nice medium body, active carb, and tingly resinous pine-forward flavors. The piney hop just dances everywhere from the nose to the lingering bitter finish. I know there’s malt in here, somewhere; there has to be. But I am enjoying the hops too much to look for it.
