Commercial Description:
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Bomber. Amber/orange with a smallish head. Good lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and a big caramel backbone. Much more balanced than a lot of IIPAs, but somehow there’s a sense of astringency in the joining.

22oz bottle Pours out a nice amber topped with a cream off white head. A great aroma of hops and sweet caramel very nice. Tast of bitter hops. Aroma was better than the tast. still not bad. Hey it is a double how bad could it be.

Pours copper with a decent white head. Aroma is lovely, super rich and enveloping aroma, hoppy, yet also spicy like apple crumb cake. In the mouth, though, it’s bitter, and with not-so-good vegetable overtones. One swallow pretty much obliterates the aroma, leaving not much enjoyable (for me, at least) in this beer.

Pours a cloudy orange copper colour with a magnificent sudsy head that fades slowly to a spotty film. The aroma is sweet, resiny, grapfruity hops. Pretty much every quality of hops, whether it be floral, piney, or citrusy- fuck it, its all there. Unbelievable. The flavour is equally resiny, piney, and citrusy. There is also a spicy, orange zestyness, which is totally rad. You can’t taste the high abv. The finish is long and biting. This is what a good double IPA tastes like. Thanks Brandon, for this amazing extra.

Rated 1/1/07: Decent beer, but rather blah considering it’s supposed to be an Imperial IPA. Aroma gets much better once it warms but it’s still rather calm and unproductive. Good share of malt on the nose the hops are there but not very prominant. Wonderful pour, very good golden orange color huge lasting head and insane lacing. The beer is nice and hazy and looks real cool next to a light. Filling mouthfeel, drinkable and an easy finsh, almost wish it were more bitter. Flavor is bette than the aroma but not by much. The malt content is very nice but the hops are awkward to a degree. Not bad for the buck, and it helped satisfy the hop craving but not much to brag about.

Thanks to Larry Pinkotia! Cloudy amber/orange color. Smell of hops. honey, malt, flowers, grapefruit, orange peal/zest and pine. Taste of pine , hops, flowers, orange zest, malt, grass, grapefruit/appricots, and cotton candy/sweet tarts. Nice bitterness at teh end. Very enjoyable.

Intense hoppy aroma. Thin head and watery in the mouth. Citrus, grapefruit and pine flavors. Strong bitterness from the hops that softens into a piney aftertaste.

Bronze-amber with a thick, lush, airy foam head. Gorgeous, luscious resiny pineapple aroma segueing into a full-bodied pineapple and grapefruit flavor with enough malt backbone to prop up the hops. Raw, but moderated, hop bitterness on the finish--quite well balanced. Cotton-candy notes arise in aroma and flavor, contributing to the complexity.
