Nose is sweet, resiny, grapefruity and of course super hoppy. Taste is all hops, all day. Sweet and sticky and very alcoholic. Not subtle. hellbilly (1564), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 7, 2009 hazy pale copper color with a foamy off white head.
it smells of cereal grain, orange/citrusy hops, grass, a touch of spice and leafy (hops).
the flavor is the same... albeit with too much malty sweetness getting in the way of a dry greatly bittered finish and beautiful piny aftertaste. i’m not sure of the age on this so... are the hops fading or is it supposed to be this malt balanced?
the body is medium. the texture is soft and creamy while there is some prickly dry mouth feeling. it is terribly easy to drink despite the alcohol content! 7/3/7/4/16/3.7 ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 22oz from wavers1 - thanks, Baker! Pour is nice and thick, slightly cloudy pale orange with a modest head. Nice aroma of bitter hops and some intense malts. Might be some age on this, but it’s been a while since I last had it, so this might be the normal character. Very full and pleasantly lingering mouthfeel. Flavor is pine and citrus at the front, but backs off quickly to bready malt, kinda like aged Bigfoot. Burnt sugar and caramel mixed with grapefruity hops. Pretty solid, but I need to rerate if this is in fact not fresh. monkeychugg55 (242), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear copper orange with a nice frothy, off white head that leaves some large sheets of lace. Huge hop aroma; pineapple, pine, grapefruit, citrus, and a touch of sweet malt. Flavor is similar, super hoppy with thin sweet malt. Although this is not well balanced, it is in fact hopalicious. Sweet and tropical at first, then slowly fades into a super bitter alpha acid orgy. Medium bodied at best with light carbonation. milewide (620), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
