From bottle, no 10 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy brown to deep orange and with a lacing off-white head. Hoppy and caramel malty aroma. Soft woody and dry hoppy flavour. Has a very subdued sweetness with is completely outconquered by the barley and the hoppy flavours. Has a mild spice note lingering into the finish and leaves a nice complex sensation. Ends mild and yet complex.

Bottle. A amber beer with a beige head. The aroma and taste is of caramel malt, bread and hops, light fruity. Medium to full body with a sweet drym hoppy, light alcoholic finish.

#10 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Muddy pale brown color. Fair lacework. Bread, grain, toasted malt, toffee, fruit. Initial thought is a Barley wine. Full bodied with alcoholic thick texture and a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness. Lingering bread and mix of floral finish.

Cloudy red-amber color; creamy head. Very good malt and hop aroma. Good malty body, with its fairly hop share, caramelly and chocolatey. Good Barley Wine or American Strong Ale, even if a bit unemotional; but I like it.

(Bottle 65 cl) Slightly hazy, dark amber golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lacework. Fat aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Solid body with rich caramels and again lots of overripe fruit notes. Harmonious and balancing bitterness. Well-made. 301107
