wavers1 (111), novato, California, USA Jun 2, 2009 wow. usually any beer with a name this long falls flat on its face. this beer is amazing. its sooooo precisely balanced. you can taste all of the flavors equally/ at the appropriate times. and there are a lot of them. raspberry, espresso, dark chocolate, and of course all the accompaniment of licorice, smoke, caramel, etc that come with a good imperial stout. probably the best dessert beer i’ve had to date. have had it there a few times, this last time i picked up a growler for a measly $17 with new bottle! quite impressive that i was able to crave more desert beer after more than 2 pints. a must have if its available when you are there! HighWine (163), , California, USA May 23, 2009 Tap at the brewery. Dark pour like a porter. Aroma is like chocolate covered espresso beans. Coffee and raspberry chocolate truffle taste. Good mouthfeel, too. A very pleasant surprise and worth having again.
