Commercial Description:
Chocolate truffles, cocoa, espresso coffee, burnt currants, the sweetness of a sherry - all come to mind when enjoying an Imperial Stout. A rich porter of English origin brewed to withstand the long voyage from London to Czarist Russia. The classic "Winter Warmer". Big, Strong, Malty Stout.

Pretty smooth overall. Aroma of coffee and some hops and dark chocolate. Tate is similar with coffee being the main focus. Dark bittersweet chocolate and hops roound ou this brew.

22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a dark brown color with a one finger thick tan head. Light lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and dark esters. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. Palate has that oatmeal stout smoothness to it and there is no lingering aftertaste. Medium body. A good beer.

This poured perfect.Thick, black, no light coming through with a 2 finger khaki head that dissipates real slow. The nose was roasted with a hint of sweetness.Flavors swirling around chocolate, burnt coffee and a hint of metal twinge.I liked this beer, not overly impressed, but the finish is what dissapointed me.It just hung out to long coating my tounge with burntness.

Black with a dark brown, thick head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, earth notes, liquor, and some cocoa. Thick, but not syrupy body. Flavor is roasted, chocolate, some earthy pine notes, coffee, and bittersweet malts. Becomes a little tart as it warms. Finish is long and bittersweet roasted cocoa. A mighty fine stout.

pours opaque with a medium size light brown head that hangs out for awhile, excellent lacing. smell is a bit faint, cocoa, coffee, some hops in the background. taste is thick, creamy, backers chocolate, roasted coffee, nicely bitter, ends dry and a bit sour. overall a very nice brew, this one is a must.

Watched this while the boys and I were at Tommy’s watching the Bucks dismantle Michigan to win an outright 3rd Big 10 Title and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Nose of fruit, coffee, caramel, and toffee. Pours as black as 15k mile used motor oil. The dark mocha head has a lovely cascade resolving into something that is super stiff and fully lasting and leaves a nice sheet o lace. The malty flavor is full with underlying moderate acidity. The warm alcohol sweetness mixes with roasted espresso at the finish. The full body is soft to flat, and chewy. The finish feels clean.

Bottle. I was surprised to find this though I’m glad to see our distributors are really starting to expand their limits. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, almost burnt malts and nice hop presence. Poured an almost opaque black and nice chocolatey head. Flavor is strong coffee and light sweet chocolate then the hops kick in with a nice punch. Palate is full and the bitter finish of coffee and hops lingers hiding the alcohol nicely. I really enjoyed this!!
