Commercial Description:
Chocolate truffles, cocoa, espresso coffee, burnt currants, the sweetness of a sherry - all come to mind when enjoying an Imperial Stout. A rich porter of English origin brewed to withstand the long voyage from London to Czarist Russia. The classic "Winter Warmer". Big, Strong, Malty Stout.

Impressive stylstic stout. Poured a heavey black fall into a sifter. small foamy head. Dense coffee aroma. First hit the tounge with dark chocolate and finished with sherry and strong espresso notes. Overall and excellent winter warmer!

Bottle. I was surprised to find this though I’m glad to see our distributors are really starting to expand their limits. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, almost burnt malts and nice hop presence. Poured an almost opaque black and nice chocolatey head. Flavor is strong coffee and light sweet chocolate then the hops kick in with a nice punch. Palate is full and the bitter finish of coffee and hops lingers hiding the alcohol nicely. I really enjoyed this!!

Bottle. Black pour with brown head. Aroma of coffee, and some roasted / burnt caramel malt. The flavor is similar with a pretty strong / acidic coffee element. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Better than expected.

Dark dark brown with a densish thin tan cream head. Sweet chocolate roast. A bit creamy. Small verry or charcoal astringency. Subtle nose, for the style. Soft creamy mouthfeel, not too thick though. Big sweet imperial stout. Roast is biggish, chocolate smaller. Roasty acidity and lingering fruity acidity. Alcohol subdued, but present.

Bottle: Pitch black, thin light brown head, sudsy, spotty lacing.   Rich roasted malt nose, some chocolate malt and ash/campfire.   Very slight touch of sourness as well.   Huge malts on the tongue, roasty, slightly like an Oatmeal stout.   Fairly sweet, er at least moderate sweetness.   Some ash as well as the aformentioned campfire.   Low hop bitterness, but tiz there albeit minor.   I certainly prefer that.   Very easy to drink.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate yet somewhat silky smooth.   This is one well crafted easy to drink Imperial Stout.   Remains quite roasty from start to finish, with a hint of chocolate.   Better than expected.   Would be super good if it were just a tad thicker, otherwise quite delicious.

Pours deliciously thick and black and tight big brown head. Man this thing is just overwhelmingly packed with chocolate aroma. Also a noticeable hoppy pine aroma. The flavor is somewhat of a let down. at least at near fridge temp. Basically, burnt bitter chocolate. not improving much with warmth

This has a very small brown head (but the bottle has been open for a little bit) on top of a very dark black body. Has a very vegetal aroma with a bit of a nutty scent. flavor is quite hoppy with coffee and a bit of chocolate flavors. The flavor lingers on the palate with a dominating flavor of coffee.

Ruby black with dense brown head. Aroma is roasty chocolate malt with a hint of wet dog. Aggressively bitter coffee taste right up front with some serious hop bittering to match. Good body to it, and a clean finish with a lingering hop sting. Alcohol is not very apparent in taste. $6/22oz
