Whoo-a! Great Imperial stout. Black as night, roasted peaty smokey aromas and flavors, a tiny dose of bitterness, a perfectly balanced well executed black beauty. TheOrange (419), Kent, Ohio, USA

The flavor is true to the aroma, only much more robust. The Full bodied flavors starts with a very slight bitter hop. But quickly grows into big chocolate coffee malts that peek before a slow steady finish. There is no indication from the flavor as to the high alcohol content. Very Very good.

Bitter dark chocolate and smoke aroma. Coffee, chocolate, blueberries, black cherries. Yeah, it’s all there and it’s all good. Sticky, oily. Lasting bitterness. Hard to find anything to complain about, except I had to share with my wife. So it goes. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Nose is a wonderful subtle bouquet of vanilla, chocolate, espresso, and floral hops. Taste is exactly like the nose with a roasted black patent finish. Light carbonation. Only complaint is it is a bit thin bodied for an Imp Stout, i would call it a high abv Foreign Stout..... Aside from style though, this is a near perfect beer. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Moylan’s Ryan O’Sullivan’s Imperial Stout is black in color and has a creamy tan-colored head. This beer is full-bodied, smooth, and creamy. Rich chocolate aroma with some roasted malt and and slightly vineous as well. Flavor is like the aroma, sweet, and quite complex overall. Not too much bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden and is only slightly noticeable in the the finish when the beer comes up to closer to room temperature. This beer is a pleasure to drink! I was quite pleased with this Imperial Stout and it’s really affordable low price makes it even better (although it was pretty darn good to begin with)!

8/15/2008: Moylan’s Ryan O’Sullivan’s Imperial Stout has a near black color with a dense and creamy tan head. The aroma is a great blend of chocolates, roasted malts, coffee, and a splash of cream sherry. Lots of semi-sweet and dark chocolates are layed into the flavor like a truffle. There are also subtles notes of dark fruits, coffee, roasted malts, and more throughout. The sweetness and bitterness is nicely balanced. The alcohol is nowhere to be found in the flavor. This beer has a very full body and is really thick, creamy, and smooth. It almost has a nitro-like palate. This is a totally solid Impy Stout and a steal for the price!

Brown black in color with a syruppy trail on the glass and a creamy tan head. Chocolate roast aroma is sweet and becomes alcoholic as it warms. Sweet chocolate flavors with a bitter roast finish ... i’m impressed with this imperial stout. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

Coffee, cocoa, and thick roasted malts just pound you in the face. Velvety smooth mouthfeel and taste. The coffee, chocolate, and cherries are prevalent throughout the taste, but not to the extent that it drowns out the subtle currants and alcohol. Let this one warm a little before drinking it, its well worth it.
