Crisp roast aroma, lots of chocolate malt, sweet and inviting - mild hint of chocolate as well - no alcohol. Really thick and creamy mouthfeel - wow, without even tasting it, that mouthfeel is incredible. Lots of creamy chocolate and coffee in taste - a perfect silky imperial stout. No hint of alcohol. Comes come in at the end after a few sips and are complimentary and balanced. An excellent example of this style, one of the best I have had. And a beer that uses an irish type name and doesn’t suck - far from it - that gets bonus points in my books! jerc (3945), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Dark brown - black body with a moderate khaki head. (3+) Muted roast and mild dark chocolate undercurrents in the aroma. Flavour has more prominent bitterness than expected, lots of malt witha touch of chocolate. Alcohol is invisible. Quite nice, but I didn’t find the complexity that my compatriots did. HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Aroma deep almost burnt chocolate malt, plenty of hops some tart current juice and a hint of cream. Taste is very mellow - rich coffee with a touch of dark chocolate - hops and bitterness builds as it warms, actually tastes creamy - mouthfeel solid body, very creamy, long linger, fairly balanced - solid Imperial Stout - 10%? No way! SuIIy (1465), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
