Commercial Description:
Chocolate truffles, cocoa, espresso coffee, burnt currants, the sweetness of a sherry - all come to mind when enjoying an Imperial Stout. A rich porter of English origin brewed to withstand the long voyage from London to Czarist Russia. The classic "Winter Warmer". Big, Strong, Malty Stout.

Purchased at Greens on Ponce De Leon. Ah, Moylans! Dark viscous pour (although on the thin end of the viscous scale). Slight off-white almost chocolate head; this beer looks pretty good. Very sweet aroma. Too subtle of a roast aroma for me. Not much coffee in the aroma. Decent aroma, but not nearly pungent enough. The aroma is not equal to the taste. Nice creamy palate; the palate is exceptionally smooth. Awesome roast flavor. Sweet malt with a SLIGHT hop profile. The roast flavor is the best. Sublte coffee flavor as well. The hops and roast provide a great balance. Slight alcohol burn. NIce sweet chocolate flavor as well, this only happens as the beer warms up. Slight vanilla flavor as well. A very nuanced beer, I just wish everything i.e. aroma and flavor just were a bit more pungent. Overall, fairly good beer, and I am happy that I have tried it.

Pours a lighter black/brown with a little brown head. Smell is of roasted malts. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Very smooth for a big bodied beer. Very enjoyable, would have more than one!

Tap at the brewery. Jet black color with a beige head. No nose to speak of. Kind of flat taste with alcohol. Some good sweet roast flavors.

22oz bottle. Pitch black with a medium mocha head. Roasted malt aroma. Taste is dominated by malts with a bit of dark chocolate, espresso, and dark fruit. Very light sweetness. Nice mouthfeel with a dry hop and malt finish. Alcohol is well hidden. A solid brew.

HH’s BEER TASTING: One of the best of the night. Deep black pour. Espresso, burnt toast, and dark chocolate for aroma. Flavor is very much the same. Full bodied and good. Alcohol sneeks on you. I like this stuff!

22 oz bomber. Lovely dark viscous pour with little head. Very good example of RIS in the Port Brewing Old Viscocity, New Holland Night Tripper league.

Bottle shared with MP at his apt prior to one killer game of Strat. Black pour with good brown head. Caramel, coffee, and chocolate, almost some oakey bourbon notes. Medium full creamy body with dry semi-bitter finish. Alcohol was fairly well masked though.
