Commercial Description:
Chocolate truffles, cocoa, espresso coffee, burnt currants, the sweetness of a sherry - all come to mind when enjoying an Imperial Stout. A rich porter of English origin brewed to withstand the long voyage from London to Czarist Russia. The classic "Winter Warmer". Big, Strong, Malty Stout.

HH’s BEER TASTING: One of the best of the night. Deep black pour. Espresso, burnt toast, and dark chocolate for aroma. Flavor is very much the same. Full bodied and good. Alcohol sneeks on you. I like this stuff!

22 oz bomber. Lovely dark viscous pour with little head. Very good example of RIS in the Port Brewing Old Viscocity, New Holland Night Tripper league.

Bottle shared with MP at his apt prior to one killer game of Strat. Black pour with good brown head. Caramel, coffee, and chocolate, almost some oakey bourbon notes. Medium full creamy body with dry semi-bitter finish. Alcohol was fairly well masked though.

Nice creamy brown head, Very strong but the flavors of cocoa mask the high ABV nicely. ranks up there with other fine imperial stouts.

22oz served into snifter. Pour is pitch black with a thick brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, slight coffee, and coco. Flavor is very roasty and full. Nice chocolate in the finish also. The 10% abv is not present at all which could make this one dangerous. This is a great bargan at $4.99.

22 oz bomber. Very dark black beer with a thick creamy dark brown head. The aroma is really lovely. Rich dark cocoa nose, chewy raisins and a touch of salty roastiness. There is a toasted wheat malt component and a heavy bittersweet chocolate flavour. The flavour is quite intense. Very heavy and chewy. Loads of hop bitterness on the back. Warming brings up a bit of vanilla and a soft leafy chewy bitterness. Pretty solid imperial stout.

Bottle. Pours black with dark brown head. Wonderful roasted aroma. Flavor is deep coffee-chocolate with a hint of bitterness. Flavor lingers long in aftertaste. Yum.
