Jan 14, 2006 Amer ale with a thine white head. Light caramel malt aroma without much hops. Sweet malt in mouth, with unbalanced harsh hops. Overall, an unpleasant ESB. Russian River Beer Revival & Barbecue Cook-Off, August 20, 2005.

Feb 24, 2007 A very light mixed aroma of malt and hop. Darkish amber color with white head that laces a bit. Smooth and creamy start of decent but not overly strong hop. Some malt does arrive for the finish. Served at a reasonable temperature; close your eyes and you’re in England. Another great Moylan’s product.

Jun 30, 2004 Updated: Jul 2, 2004(Nitro draft: Moylan's Brewery in Novato, CA) Not especially flavorful, but pleasant nevertheless; Mild and smooth overall flavor is moderately sweet, lightly fruity (peaches) and floral, with a mild bitterness and even milder maltiness; The nose is mildly fruity mostly, perhaps light peach; Palate is soft and luxurious; Basic amber color; Large patches of small, clumped bubbles stick to the inside of the glass but below where the beer line is, sort of like soda; Off-white head is thick and creamy, displays excellent retention due to nitrogen dispensing; A thick coating of lacing slides down the glass and has trouble sticking initially, but eventually is able to grab ahold

Sep 8, 2008 On tap at Stone; very floral aroma with a bit of bread and some caramel. Flavor was fruity, caramelly and flowery. It was ok for the style, but definitely "English" for me. golubj gave it the same score of 3.2, noting the fruity aroma with a bit of nasty malt in the flavor.

Feb 14, 2004 Draft at brewpub. Light orange amber, nitro head. Dry, hoppy flavor. Very light but not watery malt. Very faint bitter aroma. Truly just a simple, decent bitter.
